If you don’t see/inspect a vehicle, you cannot speak towards the condition of said vehicle. You (the royal you, Aka company building vehicle) should not monkey with things and claim to know more of its condition than the individual that’s in possession of said vehicle. What do you mean by Rivian thinking they know more about your R1S than you? They did design and build it, whereas you have only recently bought a damaged one.

Interesting. Wonder why OP deleted his post???http://webcache.googleusercontent.c....com/forum/threads/r1s-rebuild-project.16813/
Image is missing, but the body of the text is still there.
I do know that Rivian locks down certain modules if they get removed from the vehicle. I don't know exactly how that works or why since I haven't encountered it yet.
I know exactly what happened in the accident. I know exactly what was damaged. I know exactly why the vehicle was totaled by the insurance company. I also know that the body shop inflated their portion of the estimate.OP has created a bit of a spine chilling mystery, lol.
Considering that Rivian has the crash data and presumably could still read the telematics after the crash, it’s entirely possible that they DO know more about the overall condition of the vehicle than the possessor. OP seems to overlook that Rivian has crash data from hundreds (?) of crashes, probable access to insurance claim data, and their own and NHTSA crash test data. OP knows better than Rivian that the battery is fully intact? No internal damage?
Realized many people think that low paid factory workers are the only ones that can assemble a mass produced vehicle, it became tiring defending statements about a vehicle no one else has seen. ??Interesting. Wonder why OP deleted his post???![]()
I think you would be surprised by how many here agree with you (including myself), but your delivery of the information is a bit cryptic.Realized many people think that low paid factory workers are the only ones that can assemble a mass produced vehicle, it became tiring defending statements about a vehicle no one else has seen. ??
Right to repair laws will catch up with riv in time.
