Actually, I’d say service center gossip, aka SSG, is way more reliable than Rivian Comms, or say, the Tonneau Cover.Service center gossip has proved to be incredibly unreliable in the past. I’d take this with a grain of salt…
I'll take SC gossip over those pointless emails from Tony any, and every, day.Service center gossip has proved to be incredibly unreliable in the past. I’d take this with a grain of salt…
Almost as if they could do these things concurrently because they use different suppliers.Kind of hard to believe the new powered tonneau is coming mostly because they can't even get the simple manual tonneau out to owners!
I've never heard of them having reviewed procedures before. I'd say that probably means it's a fairly reliable indicator unless the OP is a liar.Service center gossip has proved to be incredibly unreliable in the past. I’d take this with a grain of salt…
Yea, I’m going in on Sept 20th. It’d be nice to get that done but I’m definitely not counting on it. IMO, if they were really this close to having a fix done, they would have announced it already.I have a pre-scheduled service center visit for Sept 15. Here's to hoping they also get my tonneau replaced at that time, too.
Until there's a fix, use suction cup mounts with a waterproof tarp to keep things in the bed dryThat is about where I am. Tough having a $75,000 vehicle that we can't use for travel unless we wrap luggage in garbage bags?. I hope the latest info is accurate, but this will be the 3rd time I've been told "next month".
I live 35 miles as a bird flies from the Normal plant. I know three employees pretty well (two engineers). I don't pester them with this, but the few comments they have made make me believe they've thought this was fixed several times. "Lifetime testing" always ends up failing.I still don't understand why they couldn't retrofit a manual tonneau truck with rails with the powered tonneau given the fact they are ripping and replacing everything per this description.
There is no mention of replacing the wiring and the button on the bed rail, two important items that trucks with the manual tonneau do not have.I still don't understand why they couldn't retrofit a manual tonneau truck with rails with the powered tonneau given the fact they are ripping and replacing everything per this description.
