I’ve been tinkering with my XO bed rack for the last few months and think I’ve finally got it dialed in…ready for some field testing later this month. I really like this system - loads of configuration options. Driver side Molle panels reserved for traction boards and/or RotoPax cans.

Love that setup. But I think the off center tent would drive me mad over time
Agree that it’s not ideal, but it’s the only way to get the awning mounted above head height and avoid contact with the RTT clamshell when its open. While it looks out of balance, it does help balance the weight. YMMV.

That is one hell of a setup. Love it, dude!

How do you like the iKamper Exoshell 270? Have you used it enough yet to determine the efficiency hit?

It throws some serious shade and is easy to setup... haven't yet done a highway trial on efficiency. I want to slide it a bit more forward so that it completely covers the gap between RTT and tailgate, but it will need an additional mounting bracket on the roof crossbar to counter the long cantilever... working on that.

For reference, I’m 6’-4”.

It looks great! Thanks for sharing your height reference, too. I'm a tall guy myself, so this helps. Enjoy!

Great setup!
What height is the XO rack? Is your tent over the truck cab at all?

This is the 18” rack which is just about flush with the roof fin. You’ll need a taller rack if you want to extend the RTT above the cab.

Gotcha. I'm thinking about the 18'' rack with 1.5'' spacers for the tent (to go toward the antenna, but not over), but not 100% positive yet. I just think the 18'' will look better without the tent on top.

Looks awesome! Quick question about the Rack. How much for the rack, molle panels and accessories to hold it together? Website is not clear on what you need to get a basic build with molle panels on both sides, thanks.

This is exactly what I will be doing. However, I’m leaning towards a 19” rack to avoid blocking the bed view camera. I believe the 18” rack does block the camera, although I could be wrong.

Here’s the bed camera view with 18” rack

Thanks for sharing the picture! Like Singletracker I think I’m now leaning toward the 19’’ (or even 20’’ for easier mounting of the RTT without spacers)

The bed camera now offers a great rear view while driving. I would not want to compromise that view. Based on Matt’s post, I’m not sure a 19” rack will be tall enough to open up that view. Any necessary spacers to just clear the spoiler forward to the antenna fin should be a non-issue. For aesthetic and aerodynamic reasons, when my RTT is not mounted,, I want to keep the rack as low as possible.

Here’s the 19’’ for reference https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...om-xtrusion-overland.12182/page-8#post-374342
