Waiting lists are open for Range Rover's upcoming EV SUV, which can wade through 33.4 inches of water when it arrives next year.

The price of the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover EV is expected to start around $120,000 and go up to $160,000 depending on the trim and options.

Land Rover hasn't released pricing or details of its upcoming fully electric Range Rover yet, so we'll hold off recommending one until we learn more details about the 2025 model.

It’s a super luxury car - which is awesome. Despite the absurd “luxury” award Rivian just won, Rivian isn’t a luxury truck. So I don’t think there’s really a ton of crossover buyers. If anything, i think it’s more a Model X competitor but it’s priced high - as usual.

I am sure it will be super nice. But I still prefer my R1S. That said, love that new EV SUVs are coming. Helps the whole market.

Technically, yes. But iPace was the first. It could even do mild/moderate off-road. It wasn't a compelling car for the price, but I also didn't hear any horror stories.

That's true - I forgot about the iPace. I think it got decent reviews but quickly got lost in the shuffle because it's specs weren't competitive vs other EVs. They only sold 1300 of them in Q3 2023.

I've owned a RR and don't consider them "super luxury." I would consider the new crop of SUVs like Rolls, Aston, Bently etc; super lux. I will also state that this is subjective. I did decide to get a R1S instead of a new LRRR so, some do cross shop. Cheers.

Agree, “super luxury” list is what you listed. I meant there’s no question RR is more luxurious than Rivian.

I had an iPace as did a friend. Issue was they rarely updated software and it had a ton of bugs - always. I’d expect the same here, but again, happy to have more competition.

Having had an MG Midget and a Delorean, vehicle from the UK are not known for their excellent electrical components.

Prince of Darkness, for the modern age.

Still, damn sexy trucks that have an amazing brand history. I wish them well.

Tata's building a huge battery facility in the UK, their brands are all jumping in.
It's not the battery that I've calling out. It's all the other bits I'm concerned about. LR has a history of electrical gremlins.

Signed up for the waiting list just in case its some kind of special deal. But already a bad omen on their form I clicked I own a EV and brand Rivian was not listed! Stupid Range already outdated! I guess all the geriatrics will be lined up for this one.

They have solved the electrical problems ages ago, but any forum on the internet responds with that whenever the brand is mentioned. It shows how much long lasting damage you can do to a brand if you let quality slip. I'm happy to own my Rivian, but my Land Rovers were all solid and worry free fwiw.

I would think there is some overlap between Rivian and Range Rover buyers, but not sure how much.
