Hi

anyone noticing issues with charger door struggling to open and close? Literally just drove home from SC ( 100 mile drive each way) and it happened.

Also noticed a windshield crack, maybe 1/2” as I left SC. Fixable?

I had a similar crack and had it filled immediately. That was 8 months ago and it hasn’t spread

I put some silicon spray lubricant on the charge port door actuator shaft. That helped.

I keep some plastic bicycle tire levers in the truck in case I ever need to force it open in an emergency.

Regarding the charger door, issues might arise from mechanical components or electrical systems. Check for any visible obstructions around the door, and ensure that the electrical connections are secure. As for the windshield crack, it really depends on how bad and where it is. If it's around 1/2", there's a good chance it can be fixed. But the type and position of the crack, plus the local laws, can come into play, so it's worth considering those factors too.

How would you use these tire levers to open the charge port door? I'm always paranoid of the charge port door failing on me when I need it the most on a long trip.

Like a pry bar. Never had to but I thought the plastic levers would be less likely to damage the paint. Might by a mote point if the motor failed….
