Depends on the jurisdiction and the vendor.By chance do you know if "socks" qualify for "chains" in terms of the legal requirement ALL vehicles
Look at the vendors web site and compare to where you want to drive.

Just frontWere you running them on just the front or both front and rear tires?
I am not worried about it. But I am not sure. I only wear them when chains are required in town. And at that point no one is really caring to pull people over for no chains. If you have socks. I know that doesn’t answer but I know they work.Great post!
By chance do you know if "socks" qualify for "chains" in terms of the legal requirement ALL vehicles must have when "chain enforcement" is in place. Where I live in the Seattle area, it is a $500.00 fine to NOT have chain's or traction devices when the mountain passes are enforcing vehicles to chain up.
For others it does NOT mean you have to have them on BUT even if you have four wheel drive and traction tires you MUST have "chains" in your vehicle. I know several friends with "All Wheel Drive" and they got a nice $500.00 ticket..
These socks look to be light weight and much smaller than the BOX of Chains.
Look at my wheels. That’s what these are forAnyone use snow socks on 21's?
I'm hoping to go that route.
In a different thread someone mentioned buying the Autosock 870 for the 21s, but I need to confirm that it will work.
You made me go outside and take pictures. HahaThey look great. I appreciate that they are black and not white. You noted that you aren’t promoting a particular brand, BUT I am curious to know what brand you bought. I need to buy some and would prefer to go with one that’s been successfully tested on a Rivian. Thanks!
If you left the car in park on that incline, with just the parking break, you got lucky. Parking break only locks rear wheels and fronts don't have anything stopping them. I will consider getting these socks. You made me go outside and take pictures. Haha

How can I look at your wheels? You put socks on them.Look at my wheels. That’s what these are for
I bought Autosocks for our R1T on 21” but have yet to use them. I used the size fitter on the Autosocks site to get the right size. Since I haven’t actually used them I cannot confirm fitment.Anyone use snow socks on 21's?

See image below for Washington stateIn California, snow socks cover the chain requirement. Not sure about Washington. It's state-by-state.
Same. I just got a set of two. I doubt I'll ever use them w the 20" Nokians I have on there.I live in Washington state and bought the Autosocks for trips up Mt. Rainier or over Snoqualmie Pass. I haven't put them on, yet, but I have them in my car to avoid the fine.
I'm also curious about this. Did you buy them for all four wheels or just the rears? I'm assuming if you put them on the front, then you had them on all four. Generally speaking, if you need to chain up, even on AWD, you should do the rear before the front for stability reasons. Were you running them on just the front or both front and rear tires?
It’s weird because everywhere online says if you only have 1 set for AWD then put them in front. However Rivian says put them on the rearI'm also curious about this.
