After buying my rivian I bought socks last year, but didn’t need to use them. I rarely use extra traction as rivian does well.

I wasn’t chancing the ice this morning. It was 25 degrees and raining and I live on a hill. I was very impressed on the performance. No slipping climbing a hill of pure ice. They held up very well and would recommend to anyone. I am not promoting any brand just the idea of using socks.

Wow yeah the traction devices are important and I'm going to buy myself a pair. We got 8" of snow this year and I've been sitting home since Monday.

Were you running them on just the front or both front and rear tires?

They look great. I appreciate that they are black and not white. You noted that you aren’t promoting a particular brand, BUT I am curious to know what brand you bought. I need to buy some and would prefer to go with one that’s been successfully tested on a Rivian. Thanks!

Look to be EasySox LT/SUV. 21's don't have a direct fitment, but the 20's use the ES195.

Great post!
By chance do you know if "socks" qualify for "chains" in terms of the legal requirement ALL vehicles must have when "chain enforcement" is in place. Where I live in the Seattle area, it is a $500.00 fine to NOT have chain's or traction devices when the mountain passes are enforcing vehicles to chain up.
For others it does NOT mean you have to have them on BUT even if you have four wheel drive and traction tires you MUST have "chains" in your vehicle. I know several friends with "All Wheel Drive" and they got a nice $500.00 ticket..
These socks look to be light weight and much smaller than the BOX of Chains.

In California, snow socks cover the chain requirement. Not sure about Washington. It's state-by-state.

I have only heard of chains...never socks........I just learned something new.

I don't see a need for them for me since the coldest it gets here is maybe 1 or 2 days in the high 20's....other days.......mid to high 30's and most of the time.....50's.

Anyone use snow socks on 21's?

I'm hoping to go that route.

In a different thread someone mentioned buying the Autosock 870 for the 21s, but I need to confirm that it will work.
