Thanks for posting. I just played around with the map in the app. Unfortunately in Northern New England, for whatever reason it excludes most of the superchargers that I have tended to rely on as a ten year Tesla owner: eg Hooksett, Lincoln, and West Lebanon in NH, Berlin VT, and Queensbury and Plattsburgh in NY. The ones open will be helpful as backup locations but not primary. I hope Tesla will add more existing superchargers to the list over time, as well as build out more v4 superchargers that are accessible.
Did you flip off the "adapter needed" selector in the app? I did that in your area and found tons of SuperChargers available. There was one near Hookset that showed unavailable but plenty of other options.

I’m at the Denver Service Center right now. They say NACS adapters will start shipping middle of April and will be prioritized based on how long the owner has had the vehicle.

Not a moment too soon. This weekend at Lordsburg NM, the EA was choke full of EVs waiting in line while 25% of the stations were non-operational. In addition, the so called 350 kWh stations are limiting your charge to 150kWh max on Rivians but others can go over 300kWh. I hate EAs

I just chatted with Rivian support. I asked about the adapter and timeline for shipping them. They said, not soon and a good possibility I would not get it until next year! Very disappointing
For Ford, they announced them, I registered same day about 11AM or something, July ship date with first dates shipping now, first come basis. By close of business they were telling people they had unknown delivery times.

On a road trip now, headed home tomorrow. Wish I had an adapter… the EA chargers along the way to get here caused issues with my vehicle.

Based on the updated map, the trip home would hit 2 Tesla SC’s instead of the EA ones.

I’m lukewarm about this addition. I just got back from a road trip and the RAN chargers were basically empty but the Tesla chargers i saw were all full. Not excited to compete for spots with the plethora of Tesla drivers out there.

just opened up app and see 8 Tesla 250KW Superchargers now available to my R1T.

The Tesla ones were installed right next to the older EA 150KW ones i was using. Will try later. Wahoo!!

Agreed. Understandable.
It’s nice to have way more charging options but we’re sure to get a lot of shaking heads and rolling eyes from Tesla drivers at superchargers. Especially we’re taking 2 spots to charge.

Here is the official response from my Guide:

Thanks for reaching out about the Tesla adapters. Here is what we know as of today:

We’re offering a free NACS DC adapter to all Rivian owners in the US and Canada to enable charging at over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers across North America.

We’ll email all existing Rivian owners in early April with instructions on how to opt-in to receive an adapter*. Once you’ve confirmed your interest, we’ll follow up to confirm your mailing address when your adapter is ready to be shipped.

Adapters will begin shipping in April, and we’ll prioritize our longest-standing owners for earliest fulfillment.

*For those taking delivery after in April and beyond, we’ll contact you separately about getting your adapter.

We are getting so close, woohoo, stay tuned and watch your email!
