Best solution for you would just be switching to a blue truck, right?

Did you put some cardboard or something stiff under the tape or did it hold up with just layered tape?
I just layer it. Does not hold up well in the rain. Hopeful a proper closeout will be coming.

I just noticed the tape on your motorcycle straps, what did that mitigate, noise?

If you don't tape those lower hook points, a large bump can cause some slack when the suspension compresses and the hook could possibly fall out. I tape them up to make sure the hooks don't do that.

Another solution would be to drive slower.... But I choose the tape.

Even ratcheted with the forks loaded up, it'll still slack?

If you were going to have the RTT on there most of the time, I would have someone install some gloss black Vinyl over those openings and maybe bring it around to the underside and cover there as well. The vinyl should hold up fine as there would be no water getting in if both sides are covered. Only question would be, what is the efficiency hit if you had this covered and did not have the RTT on?
