Anyone from Ohio?

I’m a car guy from way back. I’ve totally bought into EV’s and eliminating the use of fossil fuels. I was hoping for the Rivian/Lincoln version, but since that’s not happening, I‘ve been debating between the 2022 Volvo XC90 Recharge and the R1S. After a lot of research, I prefer to put my money on R.J. and his team. I’m very impressed with what they’re trying to accomplish. I put my deposit on an R1S Wednesday, July 1st.

I’m a Nov 2019 R1T LE LG order holder. Given the April-may 2022 time frame today. So looks like you’ll be earlier.

Late bloomer here, just reserved a few months ago. This is going to be a place holder for my wife’s Volvo XC40 electric SUV and timing wise should arrive perfectly when that lease is up in 2.5 Years. That said I’d love to see an Ohio R1T/S when it arrives so if any of you Buckeye bandits get one in ‘22 and want to host a meet and greet, that’d be amazing (watching thread)

PS: I’ve had 85 cars, 12 of which were Tesla, another ~15 have been BEV/PHEV … so I’m no stranger to electric and we’re currently 100% plug-in here. Look forward to hearing more local adventures in RIVIAN trucks!

Who in Ohio is getting their Rivian first? I saw a few people are selling LE spots for $5k or less… I wont lie, I’d prob spend a few grand to get a car in mid-2022 if possible. It is going to kill me to wait 2 years LOL

I'm from Ohio but decided that the Cold Weather was enough for me and more adventures could be had in Southern California so I relocated to Irvine California. Go Buck! I'm an Ohio State Grad and I can't wait to go off-roading and camping in the California Desert and the countless surf and snowboarding trips.

I have not gotten rid of any of my automobiles as I still own my first car, lol.
