Nah, all about clearing inventory. When a new and better model comes out the old stuff is worth less. But they still need to sell it. It's better to sell it for 20% off now, getting rid of OPs coupon than wait until it's officially old stock and they need to give someone 20% off next month (effectively creating a new 20% coupon)I'm surprised they are calling you. From Rivian's (financial) perspective, wouldn't it be best to try and minimize the number of pre-price hike reservation holders who purchase vehicles before September given the 20% discount?
