I posted last week about an upcoming trip from Southwest Florida to NJ and received many helpful responses. Since then, I've been planning and plotting and noticed one of the charging stops on Navigation is a TESLA station in GA. In navigation setup, I included all of the networks (EVGo, Electrify America, etc) except Tesla since I don't yet have the necessary adapter. So I'm a little confused why a Tesla station was included. But I'm also new to EVs and charging on road trips, only having my RIS since Jan 30th.
When I tapped on details about the Tesla stop, directions indicate to "unlock the CCS plug or use your adapter." Again, I don't have an adapter and really don't want to buy one since Rivian will be shipping them out to owners in coming months. Will I be able to charge by "unlocking the CCS plug?" I found a couple Tesla stations several miles from my home and was going to check them out and experiment, though would certainly appreciate some wisdom here as well in this insightful forum. Thanks very much
