2" hitch receiver on R2 for an EBike?

I see that the new R2 has built in feature for transporting a bike, but that won't work for me.

I already have an EBike and and E Destination Hollywood Bike Rack. Those need a regular hitch with a 2" receiver. I can't find information anywhere about whether that is included on an R2, or if it is an option. Anybody have any news about this?

This has been discussed on a couple threads. They have confirmed it will have a hitch, I don't think they have confirmed it's standard or optional though.

Cant imagine for a moment it would be 1". Those things are practically useless.

I guess I'll stop using mine for the two bikes. I had no idea they were useless. (Travel trailer purposely has that on the back to try to discourage overloading it.)

The R2's tongue weight limit would hint at what they might include or not. Most of those mini station wagon models on the market now don't include any hitch in a base model, and a 2" on tow/utility packages. And more likely a 4-way connector.

Probably helpful if I provided some context to that comment as comes from experience of shuttling 5-7 bikes on a hitch rack up a dirt road. In that example the flex and twist on a 1" hitch is disturbing and Im not sure many of the larger racks even support a 1" hitch (Oneup Recon, Velocirax, Alta, Lolo etc).
