Price for the 21" road tires is known, $383 each at TireRack, available to purchase now. My experience driving EV, I get better than the rated mileage, so 50-60k miles is typical on OEM tires for me. That is probably 4 years before needing to replace.
I doubt many people are going to get 50k-60K miles out of a set of tires on their Rivian. High performance vehicles eat tires like candy. Even though it is a truck/SUV, it has a 3 sec 0-60 and I would expect it to chew through tires like any other 3-sec vehicle.

At 30K miles, I am more than half way through my 2nd set of tires on my Tesla. I would love to be wrong, but I don't expect Rivian to be kind to the tires.

The trick will be to drive it like a Prius. I plan to do that 80% of the time.

You wont be the only one. As the stats show - about 80% of people at minimum will never take their SUV/Truck off road, regardless of how capable said vehicle is.
Off road isn’t the issue. It is the lower center of gravity and raw torque the chews up the tires on pavement. You (at least I) drive windy roads hotter than you do in most ICE vehicles because they feel so planted. Barely got 35k on my first set of tires on my Model S and it is not the performance model. I would be very surprised to get even that on the R1S.

No they won’t. I get about 15,000 on my Tesla. Of course it’s a rocket ship, but the RT1 should be pretty quick too. It’s gonna eat tires.

I wish I could sniff 20,000. 35,000 would be a dream.

Forget 50k miles on tires if you use it mostly on gravel or logging trails in the woods. My first set of f-150 tire were sanded flat after 50k km!

Light on the throttle, maximizing the regenerative braking. No need to waste battery on your way to an off-road area.

Really easy...borrow a friend's Prius and drive it carefully, trying to keep it in electric mode and work to achieve >50mpg...a training exercise. Then drive fully electric, trying to keep the kW usage to a minimum...extending range. Drive slowly around curves and corners, very easy on the tires. Accelerate slowly, except when you are trying to impress someone, but only occasionally.

Before you know it, you will be driving like an old man like me! Seriously, my BoltEV is pretty quick also with a low center of gravity, and it is almost as fast as a Tesla. Driven in Sport mode, it will spin the tires. But if I drove like that, I would do exactly as you say, eat up the tires. I know what my BoltEV can do, and I use that to my advantage when I need it, but most of the time, I don't, and I have 51k miles on it currently...granted they are pretty close to needing replacement, but I am waiting on a replacement battery before it burns...ha ha, hope that is joking!

I've had both and at the time I loved the 4-Runner but it pales in comparison to the Telsa. Now unless Lucid and Rivian are much less capable than the Teslas, and all evidence is to the contrary, I think I would have had the same reaction to them. Tesla was the first "real" electric car. It won't matter whose badge is on any of these comparable newer offerings. People will become fanboys. Call us "electric fanboys".
I’m getting really tired of the Tesla bashing honestly. They’re good cars, but people with no 1st hand experience rip them apart because of their disdain for Elon and panel gaps. Missing the whole point.

Notwithstanding a reduction in range, we are keeping the 20s. They are rated for snow which is a must here in Quebec. The lower range will get us to 99% of all our travel needs. for the remaining 1%, we'll change the way we travel.. either stop a while for recharge or even better, find a nice hotel, have a nice meal, bottle of wine and recharge over night and ready on the next day.. might be nice to slow down the pace a bit..

Honestly, once the RAN network is built out....we're talking an extra 5 mins of charge per stop to make up that 10-15% (per Rivian, 140 miles in 20 minutes) reduction in range with the 20s. No worries.

Is the paint quality bad on my Tesla, absolutely. Does it have some interior issues, yep. Is it a ton of fun to drive and puts a smile on my face, absolutely. There is nothing out there that compares for the price so you have to know what you are getting and aren’t getting when you buy one.

I’m hoping Rivian has the build quality of a traditional OEM with the tech of Tesla and the luxury of a BMW/Audi. Not asking for too much, right? Ha.
