Range on 21s WITHOUT Aero Covers???

Yes they do. If they have been on for awhile, you may notice scratching on the rims. If you want to keep them permanently off, you will need to purchase center caps. Rivian branded ones are available in the Rivian Gear Shop. I took mine of at delivery.

You don’t “need” to purchase center caps, it just looks better with them. I don’t have caps on my 21s, but mostly wish I did. Just haven’t wanted to pony up the $ for them, and haven’t looked for aftermarket yet.

I took off my covers and assume that if the reduced range/efficiency is unacceptable to me I'll just reduce my speed 1 Mph and call it even.

Yes. Negligible at best. Covers will scar your wheels.

This is my experience. Did 350 miles one-way with them on and the same trip with them off. Negligible at best....the covers are hideous and scratch the wheels. I took them off and put some Amazon center caps on, for the center hole. Done. They will never go on again.
