Not worth it even if it came with a Cybertruck I could sell for scrap.

And how are you going to charge it after that EMP attack? Unless you have off-grid energy generation/charger/storage that is ALSO inside one of these fancy doohickeys? And good luck with that PAAK.

Oh, these companies sell "EMP-proof farraday cages" to store your solar panels and EcoFlow-type battery in... (I bought a solar panel on Amazon, and my "suggested items" suddenly was full of this prepper crap.)

Edit: I should note: I live in the Pacific Northwest, "Cascadia Subduction Zone" 9.0+ earthquake-comin'-any-tme-now area. I volunteer with a "disaster emergency preparedness" group (an affiliate of the national "CERT" - Community Emergency Response Teams" organization.) I absolutely am truly prepared for a massive earthquake to hit in the middle of a blizzard.

But the level of "prepper" crap that is out there that is completely "only exists to separate the gullible from their money" is astounding.

When Stuff Hits The Fan the only power you will be able to count on is the power you produce from your own body. Trying to save your electric car is a losing strategy long term. That is why I bought one of these shields for my bicycle instead.

Edit: I also got a miniature one for my tactical water bottle.

Oh! My bike has electronic shifting, electronic computer, power meter, and a rear radar. I might need the link to your bike’s shield.

The moment is finally here; you've prepared for this day. Your Cybertruck has been kept charging under a faraday cage for weeks and FINALLY it's showtime. You grab your go bag and get in the truck ready to take on anyone and everyone in your way. All that matters is you, your truck, and the ope--

"Vehicle disabled: No cloud connection for 137 days."

Side bar: how long can a Rivian operate without connection to the interwebz? I do a lot of camping in off grid areas on my island and don’t want to be stranded. My email from Rivian service was vague.

Anyone adventure out of cell range for a series of days?

Yep. I spent a week with no signal on two occasions, had no problems.

Rivian works just fine out of cell phone range. You do lose some mapping detail (some maps are cached) and routing ability, and of course streaming music, etc. But the vehicle works just fine. And it knows where you are because GPS doesn't require an internet connection ...

Caveat, I've only been off grid for a few days at a time, and I have maps ... so it didn't affect me at all.

Just a bad joke. My bike has zero electronics.
But seriously, I think I'll just store my bike inside a Cybertruck. It's metal, so it should act as a Faraday cage, right?
