First ever post ? I'm in the Ford forums as I was waiting 6 months for a mach-e. A lot of complaints about Ford there. Hard pass on Ford and their archaic dealership model. 'Let me get my manager'. No thanks. Rivian all the way.

I don't even know where to start. I was getting ready to finalize my loan and out of nowhere got an email with this. Nothing from an actual person, just this generic email.

I'm feeling so defeated and though it says the VIN has changed it doesn't appear I have a VIN right now. It would have been a little better to hear this from a person but most of the time they take days to over a week to respond. I supposedly have a guide but I haven't heard one thing from her since they assigned her to me.

At this point I don't even know if I'll be able to get the interior I want since they're supposed to stop making the black mountain with no wood, according to an email last fall.

Maybe those who have experienced a similar situation can give me some hope? If your order got cancelled and you got a new VIN, how long did it take to receive your Rivian? And how was the communication from Rivian?
I got an update this morning. After scheduling a guide call and getting ghosted again, I did get a text back from someone on the team. They said my VIN was still the same and the truck is still getting delivered on the 29th. To which I asked how that was going to happen if my appt was cancelled. They reinstated it shortly after and said there was a system glitch. I'm very skeptical at this point and will be until I pick up my car so trying not to give my hopes up. But this is much better than waiting for a new VIN!

So what ended up happening? I was supposed to pick up my R1T next Wednesday and I just got an email stating the appointment was cancelled because the VIN changed. Too late to get a hold of anyone now. But how did yours work out?

So what ended up happening? I was supposed to pick up my R1T next Wednesday and I just got an email stating the appointment was cancelled because the VIN changed. Too late to get a hold of anyone now. But how did yours work out?
They are upgrading dual motors to dual motor performance. Go check your config on your account now. They are making things right for those that ordered right before they started offering the performance upgrade as a free upgrade.

I placed an order for a DM last Tuesday and my scheduled pickup day is June 7th. How do I get this upgrade?

edit - Nevermind, mines a '24. All the 2023s are gone around here.

I ended up taking delivery on the original date! The VIN email was a mistake and they never meant to send it. Customer service has been way better since I got my R1T. Not sure what changed but hope it stays like this
