a little over a 100 mile round trip commute for me these days but thankfully its not all on that route. Last night I got tossed around in Canada too. Its not terrible but it is a downside.

Upside is I got 3.0mi/kWh on a very flat highway in low conserve, yay!
So what is the max range you have seen displayed on Conserve with your tires?

I have the 20's and do offroad maybe 6-8 times a year. But am thinking that for the rest of the year I should upgrade to a better performing tire to help with commute comfort/efficiency.

I don't think mine has changed since they weren't reprogrammed or reset when I took my ATs off. 313 projected full in conserve but only 1,430mi of those are on the Generals. 2632mi were on X-Ice this winter.

The 3.0 was after dividing by 1.03 to take into account the diameter change. I also got the same result after dividing KWH/Google maps miles which is the best I've done with a mix of mainly highway and some 40mph/city.
Got 2.6 on my commute yesterday. On ATs in the fall I was burning about 20% each way, now I only use 20kWh.

So using 131kwh large pack size, my theoretical range is 340 mile range for my usual commute route or a whopping 393 at the best case flat highway no AC great weather.

My AT had 23,500 miles and were really noisy. I initially planned the swap for range but it is really the noise reduction I value after the fact.

Hope that helps somewhat

That is great number. I don't think my general grabber ever reach 3.0 mk/kwh even with conserve mode and texas is very flat

I was thrilled with that result.
You were probably going a good bit faster than I was if you were in TX.
I was only going 65.6mph (after adjusting for 3.2% change in tire circumference)

This (small 3 hour sample size with nice weather, no AC, etc etc) is on the 116 General Grabber HTS60 with 20" MSW type 52 wheels. My normal commute is shaking out closer to 2.8

Great Scott!
What size, and do those MSW rims weigh significantly less than stock?

Nobody has tried the Maxxis tires correct? I have found it between 200-229/tire delivered. At that price point, I’m almost tempted to try them.

the MSW plus general grabber 275/60/20 total weight is 72 lbs
OEM 20" with tires weight at 88 lbs.
OEM 21" with tires weight at 85 lbs.

Do you think the rims have a significant contribution to the efficiency improvements? Maybe not just weight but aero?

The MSW type 52 looked very similar to OEM designs.. The BLACK RHINO VOLTAIC and Atomic wheels Aw09 's designs looked very aerodynamic. In my personal opinion, total weight is just one factor for better efficiency, tires with low rolling resistant is another one.
So if you going with light weight aerodynamic design wheels with low resistance tires and weight will give you the best effiency.

What was elevation, temp, and air density? Those are big factors at 65 mph…

prestapost has some…sounds like 5% less efficient than 20” OEM

thanks for letting me know. not horrible considering what the tire is. Sorry for missing that.

How about road noise? The Taco and Ranger crew all seem to rave about the lack of noise on such an aggressive AT.

If I get them, I’m driving cross country this summer so I’ll have a pretty good sample size in a small window to report back on.

Elevation: 600-800 ft
Temp: 70-75*F one way, 60-65*F on the way back
Air density: pass. no idea what the humidity etc was but no rain.
