I have been reading WhisperPickle posts and he is the most impressive AI I’ve read. He has totally passed my Turing test. In the post, he say’s he is in AL, which is practically admitting AI.

I literally just came back from a work trip in AL... and I didn't see it there... so it can't be true.

If you took a “work trip” to a place created by AI then we can’t really trust what you say because you are likely created by AI as well ?

Call me skeptical, my issue is that the tire still has air in it but the aluminum hood and front fascia is completely melted.

A fire certainly could be hot enough to melt the aluminum but it would need to get to 660 degrees Celsius and tires will ignite at 400 degrees Celsius. I just do not see what scenario where the fire could be hot enough and long enough to melt all of that aluminum and not burn the tire.

I did go to a BBQ restaurant called "cooter browns", so I'm no better than WhisperPickle. Alabama sure has a way with words.

We aren’t fire investigators and photos I’ve seen showed tires that looked fine after a fire. We don’t know if the high voltage battery caught fire, or if something else caused the fire.

I feel so sorry for @WhisperPickle and his loss. I’m not going to doubt his veracity based on a lack of knowledge on my part.

I hope Life gets better soon, WhisperPickle.

I looked at some photos of EV fires and this seems fairly typical. It looks like the fire department got OP’s R1S extinguished relatively quickly. Another possibility is it was an external fire outside of the vehicle. 12 volt battery fire?

I am not a fire investigator.
My "favorite" EV fire (if there is such a thing) was a BMW i3 that its small gasoline range extender started on fire, and the back end of the vehicle was absolutely burnt to a crisp; but the 12V up front was fine, and the dashboard, while heavily singed, was still lit up and showing the vehicle was in theory drivable (which would be funny if it weren't for the fact that the rear tires were melted to slag.)

Can you account for your whereabouts at the time this vehicle burned down?

We should start guessing the cause since we were left with no information.
I am guessing that location is off grid and that he had a gas generator with fuel can in the frunk.

My guess is the guy invested a ton into Fisker. Lost all his cash. Decided to go for an insurance claim on the S and using a weed burner went to town on it. Scorched the inside of the garage area just to be more convincing. He hasn't responded here because his neighbor saw him do it and called the cops and fire department......

I can be persuaded….

Here is a picture of the Rivian that burnt at the EA station last year, not as bad as this post but hood is gone and tires are intact…. Still on the skeptical side of the argument but… ??

The photo does not appear genuine to me. The Rivian is sitting way too low, the “car” has significant fire damage, but both front tires don’t burn?
The variable suspension parts probably burned dropping it to the current level. The fire doesn't look hot enough to "pop" the tires, but they're probably burned to the cords making them useless. (Opinion of experienced fire captain.)
