I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, so I thought I do so. We previously had the 2025 R1 DUAL STANDARD models confirmed with the EPA certificate filings dated 4/10/24. We now have the Dual Max, All-Terrain Dual Max, Performance Dual Max, and
All-Terrain Performance Dual Max 2025 models confirmed with the EPA filing dated 5/18/24.

To get to the reports to go https://dis.epa.gov/otaqpub/ and select Rivian in the manufacturer block then click on the Search button at the bottom of the screen (not the one at the top of the screen). You'll see all the recent filings. There are applications for certification fillings by Rivian and corresponding certificate issued fillings by the EPA in that list.

I’m confused how you read it, so do you follow the 418 number, or the 424, both of which are excellent…

Yes. On the standard pack EPA docs at least. Nice to see it confirmed on the large/max dual as well.

Wild improvement to vampire drain if true:

Or is that if you fully disconnect the battery?

I don't think you can make that assumption. I think Rivian is being very methodical in the way they are going about releasing the 2025 model year.

First was the LPF lower end with probably a nice lower price, then Dual motor max packs. Why these groups first probably has many reasons which we are not privy to. But they are working their way through the lineup. We will probably see the Dual Large pack come in as a block. Then eventually the Quad motors.

When you think about the software modification and fine tuning requirements of each of these blocks, this makes sense. Next big lift is probably going to be the Enduro Quad motor models. I suspect lots of fine tuning to go from the Bosch motor to the Enduro motors.

Lastly, might be the Tri-motor that has been speculated about. This one probably requires the most software fine tuning cause that is a configuration they don't currently have in the lineup, but they have announced that they will have a Tri-motor in the R2 lineup so it just makes sense to get a R1 Tri-motor out the door and get the software ready for when the R2 comes out.

Man, I was hoping to see better… oh well. Seems like it’s the same max pack battery, but with some efficiency gains via heat pump and elsewhere.

kWh size and peak charging speed haven’t changed
