Probably a very silly question, but how much does using Driver+ affect range? I can't imagine it draws that much energy.
I imagine that is insignificant. there are stats usually when driving and it shows where the battery is going, I usually see 95-97% going to drive, 3-5 & AC and the rest is <1%

The more you drive the more AC goes down and driving percentage goes up (I imagine the initial cooling of the car)

Any update on your setup? How is the noise, tire wear, and MPK?

2k miles in and I am AVG 2mpk. Mixed of NY winter and spring driving. 70% local in all purpose and 30% hwy always in conserve. Tire noise has gone down a little bit since new.

Tire pressure always set to 46psi cold and they never went past 50psi warm.

Very happy with recon grapplers :)

16k miles in I am averaging 1.97 now, 48psi cold usually warms to about 53. :)

You have the SL version with 44psi max? I didn’t want to go too much higher than the cold 44psi which is why I did 46psi

I've always wondered how much range could be improved by dropping cruise by 5mph on uphill and increasing by 5mph on downhill. The car would need to have a level detection system, like Rivian.

I accept your challenge!
Will report back when I have data…

I got the Nitto Recon Grappler AT 116T 2 days ago and they are much quieter than the stock Pirellis (with 26k miles). I do notice an audible hum between 50mph and ~65mph, I assume due to the tread pattern. At first, I thought it was a car with a broken muffler farther up the road, but, when the noise didn't go away, I realized it was from my tires. However, they are still much quieter than the old tires. They are also great looking in my opinion.

I don't yet have enough data for efficiency, but I will keep tabs and report back after some more trips.

I wondered this recently too, but I actually don't see why this would help range.

For completely flat Kansas, probably not. But for every uphill, you reduce your exponential drag by 5mph AND general consumption. On the downhill, you go faster with only a slightly increased consumption (less than flat for he same given speed).

You are 16k miles in on the Recon Grappler?? Did you have 20” OEM scorpions prior to these?

if so, how is the comparison for efficiency and wear (tread and noise)….

I had 21’s and wearing the 33” size Nittos. I lost 10% efficiency and noise has never bothered me. Sometimes they drone usually my music is louder though. I’m at 9/32 tread all around with no rotations— started at 13/32.

I installed the 116t last week and did a 1400 mile trip from Florida to NC and back… I would say about 70% was flat and 80% was in conserve mode.
I did about 20 miles of light off roading.
Tire pressure was 46 going as high as 50 on the highway as things heated up.
Noise was significantly less than my 20k mile Pirelli… there was 5/32 front and 7/32 rear when I swapped out, I could have made the trip with the Pirelli’s but they were just too noisy… anyway, here are the stats.
