Excited to picke up my lease R1T. Not too jazzed to immediately put 130 miles on it day one driving it home from the service center given that leases have restricted miles. Has anyone been able to get theor lease adjusted to reflect this mileage?

I can’t afford the $1K home delivery fee.

Sorry, but that really isn't Rivian's problem. It was your choice to lease. If you are worried about that 130 miles I guess you'll have to skip a 130 mile trip sometime?

Personally I would just enjoy those miles you drive home getting to know your Rivian

I've been in the situation before where I blew way past the annual lease mileage on a BMW. Like by a few thousand, as my commute changed after I leased it. Ended up not mattering at all, as I just bought the car at the end of the lease period. That said, hard to imagine the $10 it might cost you if you go over your lease by 130 miles is going to matter.

I haven't heard of any adjustments like that. I was in a similar situation with a 160mi trip home from delivery.

At $0.30/mi overage at the end of the lease, that trip home will cost you $39. Just try to enjoy your miles.

It was just a thought. Thanks for those that replied conscientiously.

I could have done without the snarky comments regarding my financial situation, though.

Good points. Putting it in that perspective it isn’t that big a deal.

I can’t answer your question. You could always ask! I doubt they will though. However, congrats on an amazing new truck and welcome. Despite some snark and sarcasm (which I contribute to), I do find this to be an exceptionally friendly group.

FWIW, I called Rivian Financial Services (Chase) about this same question and the answer was no. Enjoy the new vehicle as you would! I know I'm going to drive the crap out of mine, I love driving so it's inevitable. If you aren't comfortable with the fee, take a break! It's a hell of a vehicle.

Side note, if you plan to finance or purchase the vehicle outright after the lease then the miles turn into smiles. I know I'm going to purchase mine when the lease is up.
