Could be that the time on the track is 30 mins and the rest is factory tour, checking out colors etc.
unfortunately I was told no factory tour I don't think this will be like the three days that the first drive was I think this will be a quick show of the truck and its ability's on the test track. I'm doubtful on if RJ will even be there.

I have a list of things I want to get pictures of and questions on.

Zone lighting?
Front license plate mounting?
Winch? mounting, wiring
if the subs are under the back seats "meridian" do they limit the storage?
hooks in the frunk, better pictures of the inside wall.
kitchen lights?
accent lighting in the cab "we have no shots of it in the dark"

let me know if we have others I'm forgetting I might be able to get
Depends if they have any R1S there, or if it's just the trucks. I've been curious what the storage options are going to look like in the back with the seats down, specifically with their promised capability of using the roof rack back there.

I was hoping for a quick tour as well :(. I still hope I can see an R1s in person. I really want to see how the access to the 3rd row works.

It's nice that Rivian changed the narrative, but what's happening with the other test drive events? Still only heard about Normal and the Press event in Colorado. Time to start moving faster than a glacier.
If the trucks are in CO why are early CO reservation holders not getting a test drive? Makes no sense and frustrating.

Thanks for the offer! Would love to find out:
- Actual difference in underbody plating for the Off-Road package vs standard. (So far seems relatively insignificant, and may need to drop this option to stay under the proposed EV rebate max MSRP)
- Sentry mode details - if available
- Details on their K-turn patented maneuver
- Rear seat leg room behind the driver (who may or may not be 6'2")
- Flimsiness of front cupholder

I actually called CS to ask if max pack preorder holders would or wouldn't get an invite as soon as they announced the test drives. They of course told me "no it wouldn't exclude me", but yeah no invite.

Again, we'll see what they say, but hearing that they stone walled you, I'm sorry to hear that. You're 100% right "gut punch" in deed.

I didn't include my previous conversations with CS in my email, nor did I include my 3 pictures of RJ and I at Rivian events... Thought that would be a bit much, but if they squeeze me in some how @tnawara you could be my +1 ?, I mean that.

If I get a "yes" from CS, we'll car pool from my place just north of the plant.

Deal?
That’s an extremely generous offer, and one that I’d take you up on! I’ll buy the beverage(s) of your choice.

CS shot me down ? @tnawara ... Just gonna have to wait it out.

Sorry

They said LE had priority... Whether or not that's true I'm kinda doubtful. This seems like a crapshoot IMO. I told them the max pack wasn't available in LE so I couldn't order one, but it didn't matter.

But again... I ordered my Model S back in 2014 never driving one. I just wanted it as soon as AWD was an option.

I wasn't disappointed then, don't think I'll be this time either if a Rivian just shows up at my door come January.

All I ask is that it has a 180kwh pack!

Rear seat leg room behind the driver (who may or may not be 6'2")
And general comfort of the backseat given the MT comments.

So um....this may seem like an odd request, but if anyone was planning on bringing a rear facing car seat that would be fantastic. One of my biggest questions for the R1S is whether a rear facing car seat can fit behind the driver with the seat all the way back. If anyone is willing to do this I will send you 5 Internet Cool Guy points.

Is there, or is there not, a traditional glovebox? Rivian still hasn't given us a definitive answer to this question! :CWL: (this is a joke. There's no glovebox)

I'll bet some people would love to see photos of the different storage areas like the ones under the seats (front and back) and the main one between driver and front passenger. There is also some question about whether the center console one is lockable.

I'm also curious about the door pockets/cubbies. How much can they really hold? Would you trust it to hold a vacuum mug that does NOT have a leakproof lid (Yeti, Klean Kanteen, Hyrdoflask, etc.)? I'm guessing it's not suitable for a plastic or foam cup Big Gulp type, but maybe a 30-32 oz metal cup?

Most of those are already on my list.

Also, I'm 6'2"+ and we're already planning on at least testing a 3 wide man sandwich in the backseat. LOL.

I guess that nixes my idea of loading two dirt bikes in the bed... sigh.
