When I’ve gotten in or out of my R1T and either stashed something in or removed something form the gear tunnel, that is the one thing that people comment on the most if they happen to see me accessing the GT.

Last week I was going to a work offsite meeting/potluck lunch and had two delicious baguettes (gluten free too!!). I had all sorts of shit in the back seats. Voilá le gear tunnel qui arrive ! And the baguettes were well cared for in the GT. That made me wonder what other uses has the GT had for folks.

Please share if you feel comfortable doing so!! ?

Well, there's the guy who put cats in there...
Don't get anyone into trouble...He put the litter box in the gear tunnel and opened the hatch so the cats could get to it from inside the truck (where, IIRC, they had free reign).

I went on a photography adventure and needed to charge up a bunch of backup camera batteries, so I threw a power strip in the GT and charged them up while driving to different locations. Additionally, it was a great place to store/stage some if the other photo equipment/tripods/lighting.

the Frunk also played a part. So much great storage.

Previously discussed ad nauseum; bodies. All of the bodies.
Had they been on the Atkinson diet, or some sort of macrobiotic KETO horse shit?

I keep a plug in electric chainsaw in mine at all times in case of downed trees or zombie apocalypse.

That was my plan as well, although with the camp chairs and kayak paddles and life jackets and fishing rods its getting kind of full. Do you have your saw in a case or a bag to protect other items?

No, but I do have it sitting on top of a doggie pee pad to catch the chain oil drippings. The chain itself has a sheath. It would be rolling around loose if not for all the other tools and emergency gear I keep packed in there.

I can't find any data on PubMed on the safety of splattering zombie blood and tissue with a chain saw. Does anyone know if it is safe? I'm pretty sure sawdust is OK.

What chainsaw are you using?

I think as long as you are wearing a mask, gloves, and a Rocky Flats issue plutonium trigger manufacturing radiation suit from the Department of Energy Surplus Store on EBay, you should be fine.

Domo, you have displayed some truly brilliant American ingenuity with the use of the gear tunnel, but most of all with the doggie pee pad.
