App refresh showing wrong units

I was just looking at my charging history. It used to show how much power was delivered for a session, now it shows the distance added. But mine shows kilometers (whatever those are) and not miles. I do have miles specified as a unit.

Glad (I think?) that it isn't just me. I would also prefer if they just showed the amount of power delivered, since distance has so many variables (speed/hills/weather).

I usually just look at the metrics from my wall charger. The rivian stats annoy me and are misleading since it counts the charging time from when you plug in to when you unplug. The stats from my Tesla wall connector show the correct time spent charging and kWh delivered.

A lot (or most) of my charging is done at work, so I don't have access to those stats from the chargers. And since your post prompted me, I looked at my Rivian charger, which also doesn't have those statistics. I do wish I could see a breakdown of my charging sessions, Home vs Work vs Vendors (EA/EVGO)...all first world problems.

I can confirm my iPhone is showing kilometers as well. If you click on any of the lines, the detail screen does show the kWh for that session, not as handy as in the list.

Until they fix the units, you can divide the kilometers by 1.61 for the miles. Or move to Canada…?

My front Lock Screen widget is now gone. I also deleted the Home Screen one and can’t get it back.

No idea why they would remove widgets. Unless I’m missing something.

Fortunately for you you are using the metric system.

This release of the IOS app is ignoring the setting to change to miles from kilometer. You can test by changing to miles, the history still will read kilometers.

I can report that mine does this as well. Reporting how many miles or km charged is a worthless number. I care more about kWh. I know the average customer won’t understand energy quantities but reporting a distance is fraught with so many variables that it isn’t comparable with any other vehicle.

At least with kWh we know how much energy went in to estimate costs. Can’t even fathom why “miles added” is a usable statistic at all.
