Alexa disappears often

Alexa keeps disappearing since the latest update. I tried a software reset but it doesn’t help. I tried signing out/signing in and the same happens.
Is anyone experiencing this ?

Alexa is absolutely worthless for me. Have owned the R1S for 8 months and it has worked 2% of the time. I’m done with resets. It has to be a bad chip or cell or whatever. Will write it up as I have done in the past but the mobile mechanic wont fix it. Needs a new?? JB

I’ve had my 2024 R1T for 4 months and Alexa worked every time up until the update.

very lucky…..it has been so frustrating for us. Even if it worked for me, when my wife drives it by herself, it wont work for her?? It doesn’t do that much anyway compared to apple car play. I understand they may be charging for it someday??

Been happening to me since before the most recent update. Resets help but the fix is only temporary. Expected A LOT more out of Alexa here - my mistake.

I have had the same issue and utilize the Alexa app for making phone calls, and controlling the audio. I had an Amazon Unlimited music membership before I bought my Rivian, so that is by far the most used app for listening to music and podcasts. When Alexa doesn't work, neither does my Amazon music account.

I have had issues periodically since I took delivery of the Rivian. I found that doing a infotainment reboot (hold leftside of left toggle button and the rightside of the right toggle button on the steering wheel) will clear the issue and Alexa will begin working again.

Some times the issue just seems to happen. Other times it happens right after a system update. If it happens more than once in a week I end up having to do a full reboot (hold leftside of left toggle button and the hazard light button on the rearview mirror).

Again I'm not sure what causes it to happen, but that usually corrects it. I have not had to sign out and sign back into the Alexa app.

Yes, sounds vey similar…..I am done w the resets though. What good is it if I have to fix it every week? Something is very wrong. How does your hot spot work?
