So how did it go? Having a service center at least as close to me as Tesla was one of my last few mental hurdles to making the jump. Still not sure if I should wait for NACS or just deal with adapters.
Opening this week!
Adapters are fine. I would go for it.So how did it go? Having a service center at least as close to me as Tesla was one of my last few mental hurdles to making the jump. Still not sure if I should wait for NACS or just deal with adapters.
Please tell me how, because I literally submitted a ticket could not see the Falls and talked to Service and they said they could not see it open yet! I'm trying to get in August as well because I'm heading out of town and won't care if they have it for a week.I was able to make an appointment in Menomonee Falls for August!
I just started a chat on the website and asked if it was available. Just confirmed in the app that it says Menomonee Falls. I wish I had more advise. Please tell me how, because I literally submitted a ticket could not see the Falls and talked to Service and they said they could not see it open yet! I'm trying to get in August as well because I'm heading out of town and won't care if they have it for a week.
I just messaged chat again and they again said they cannot see it open for appointments but was going to reach out to them directly. I'm out of town the week of August 19, so hoping to get it scheduled then so they don't have to worry about a rental and I don't either. They can just keep it for the week and I will get it the following week when I get back. Either way, I'm still pending a response. It feels a little like rolling the dice on what service person you get.I had submitted a service request on the app (Men. Falls wasn't an option on the app), then called the day after and worked with a support person. Initially he said it would be a mobile visit, but those are booked a month out and he was able to get me in on Monday at Men. Falls. Might be worth calling again?
It took some time to properly staff the Minneapolis SC so this makes sense.Ok new update for everyone.
I once again contacted support and asked further, who then reached out to the Falls center directly. So they are open but they are not actively listed for service yet because they don't have the staffing capacity yet for many service requests. This is why it is not showing as available for scheduling and why no one seems to find it anywhere. Support CAN TRY to get you at the center specifically if you think it needs to be or want it to be, but right now like @Shill2801 mentioned they are trying to book with mobile. I was told that anyone in which the Falls center would be their primary center would get an email from Rivian saying that it is open. So I am guessing we will be in this situation until we get that communication or sometime around when we would get that communication. Support could not say when specifically, but did indicate the SC thought that would be the end of August. Hopefully it ends up being earlier.
My issues are fairly minor so I opted to just use the mobile. I'm fairly certain at least one or two will have to go into the shop for but I will just cross that bridge when I get there.
How has the service experience been? I'm once again looking into Rivian as there is now more inventory for used vehicles.I dropped off my truck this morning for service. They have an agreement with Enterprise in Germantown for loaner vehicles, but the service manager mentioned they'll have some R1Ts for loaners later down the line. They're slowly ramping up, sounds like they're only working on their 4th or 5th vehicle as they're still getting staff on-boarded (like a soft launch of a restaurant).
Service has been good, from my experience. I've had it in another time in August, and then had mobile service earlier this year to replace the 12v battery. No complaints from my perspective. How has the service experience been? I'm once again looking into Rivian as there is now more inventory for used vehicles.
