Delivery to my home by August 5 or 5-10 days from ordering (last week).
This is A2Z's current status for the PRO shipping.
All other adapters, A2Z says status normal 1-2 business days shipping.
They've not shipped any. No one, including OP has it. That's what I'm saying. Original start for Pro was 7/15, that's been delayed. Original non-Pro Typhoon is not even on A2Z's site anymore.

See A2Z's response to someone who ordered before you: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...t-code-riv-eta-is-july-15th.30089/post-583352

Hmm. Not what I was led to believe when I ordered it. Thank you!

This is what my invoice says, dated July 27:

"Shipping Method
Free Shipping - 7-10 business days
before your order ships due to high
demand"

For reference here is a 25 - 70% using a brand new v4 supercharger in 97 degree heat. The pack was toasty!

Update from my return from Florida yesterday.... in my original post I highlighted that charging with A2Z adapter with Tesla V3 Supercharger, the charing rate dropped under 10KW around 40% state of charge. It also happened with a V4 with Magic dock.... same exact pattern. Had to move to 2 - 3 different stalls to get charge rate up, but it still was slower than experienced with EA.

Stop 1. Yesterday, hit a V3 Supercharger with Magic doc. 10% SoC to start. Charging started well. Right at 40% dropped to 0.8KW. Moved 3 more times, see pics, before I could get a steady charge rate, but on the last one at 67% charge did not exceed 60KW. Stopped at 81%.

Stop 2. Hit EA in Nashville 350KW stall, 17% SoC to start added 70 KW in 40 minutes. Rivian said charge speed was limited by stall. Haven't been charged yet!

Stop 3. Hit EA in Louisville, KY, 150KW stall, 13% SoC to start. 67 KW in 22 minutes. Charging peaked at 180KW for over 5 minutes. That has happened at this charger before. Only charged me $0.12/KW!

I hate to say it, EA worked great. When I called Rivian support to discuss the 2 Magic dock experiences, they speculate a Tesla problem since EA worked.... Super frustrated as using Tesla going forward will not be practical. Won't be renewing my $12.99/mo 3rd party Tesla membership.

I think a lot of these issues tend to be caused by R1 Gen 1 vehicles. For example, the issue at 350kw EA chargers going down to 40kw are an issue only with Rivian. Look at any comment section on any EA charger (on PlugShare) and only the Rivian's are going down to 40kw. The AC just doesn't seem adequate to cool the battery during charging sessions in some situations (like warmer days or towing).

Interesting perspective... but given the vehicle controls the rate of amps to receive and Gen1 can peak at 220KW on RAN chargers, not sure how this could be.... I have used EA 350KW and did fine over 200KW..... I guess the details I am providing are because I am so surprised that the Tesla Superchargers were extremely problematic on both legs of my trip. I was excited about the prospect of having access to Superchargers with my Rivian, given my great success with my Tesla.

I think the issue is only when it's very hot or working the battery very hard (towing).

In my case no towing... driving 77MPH for about 180 miles.... but wouldn't preconditioning help?
This doesn’t look like thermal derating, seems like an issue between the charger and truck. You can use ABRP to track the battery temps, unless you’re in the mid 120s I don’t think it will reduce speed at all but I could be wrong.

It’s one reference point but on the charge curve I posted above on a Tesla supercharger the battery was 102 degrees on the drive and it started preconditioning about 100 miles before the charger to get it down to 87 degrees when the charge started. Considering it was a very hot day for the Midwest (97 degrees) I think it was a decent session.

My Gen 1 R1S worked perfectly fine at a Tesla Supercharger with Magic Dock. Reached charging speeds of 220 kW, 250 kW charger. At some point, it dropped off, I think it was around 40% SOC. Did not charge much. Still waiting on my A2Z Typhoon Pro.

Sometimes, I may be a dispenser issue. Or preconditioning status, or other issues. With my Teslas, sometimes a dispenser may charge at a very low rate. I move to the next one over, no problem charging plenty fast or as advertised.

That you must rely on EA sounds like a dire situation that I hope you resolve. I shall use on my trips RAN and Tesla chargers only, in that order. Do not pay Tesla membership fee, but even with the Tesla surcharge, it is still much lower than the absurd, onerous EA prices.
