Love the vehicle. Literally just picked it up. Have not had much exposure yet, but it sounds like a jet engine from the HVAC. Let me say this is from the outside. Inside cannot hear it. Is that everyone's experience?

Can't speak for Gen2's but Gen1 HVAC screams also.

I’ve read a lot of users statements about the heat pump being extremely loud with gen 2. Check out @BearMan123 postings in this thread. It doesn’t quite sound like your heat pump issue is at the point of his vehicles problem, but something to keep in mind if you run into further abnormal issues with it.
I had read that previously. I have limited exposure thus far, but the A/C is working well so far. It's really just the outside noise. Cannot really hear it inside, so I suppose not a huge deal yet. But in the garage, it's particularly loud due to being enclosed.

My Gen2 is loud from the outside, sounds like a train, but inside it is fairly quiet besides the normal a/c noise from the fans blowing.

Miami here. Loud outside. Quite inside. AC is awesome. That’s all I care for.

They moved the compressor further away from the cabin so it's more exposed outside. I'd expect it to be louder outside the vehicle and quieter inside than the gen 1.

This is definitely the case. But jet engine comes to mind…

Yup, It's super loud... I was shocked when I first got my R1T but the A/C performance is awesome, even in Chandler, AZ; so no complains...

I test drove a Gen 2 on the weekend and while I could hear the AC whining loudly it was half as loud as my Gen 1 R1S. I have zero rattles, fit or finish issues, etc with my Gen 1 but holy heck was the HVAC loud outside and inside for the first minute in FL.

I’m loving the Gen2 but the a/c volume is so loud it’s basically funny. It’s louder than our whole home a/c outside unit!
