Gen 2 R1S seats any better?

I have an Gen 1 and am fine with the seats but my wife finds them uncomfortable. I was wondering if anybody had a direct comparison and knew that the GEN two seats are noticeably better? Also, would it even be possible to buy the GEN two seats for my GEN one car? I am afraid to even ask what that would cost.

I sat in the Gen 2 R1s at Laguna last week. I daily drive a gen 1 R1T. It seemed exactly the same front seat experience as my T except for the new door unlock system.

I saw/felt no differences in the seats.

She finds the fixed head read annoying and not in a good position for her. Also I believe mostly that the seat is too firm.

Try the seats. They’re more comfy and have more foam.

Try a seat back pad. Head restraints have been moved forward to reduce the distance your head snaps back in a rear end collision. I’ve been in cars that have head restraints so far forward that I feel like my chin is practically resting on my chest. A seat back pad will move you forward and restore space between your head and the head restraint. A seat cushion pad could help with the firmness.

I find that for people who don't like the headrest forward attribute, simply shifting the seat forward a bit and tilting the seat back makes for a more comfortable position.
Take it to an extreme and see if it helps, then search backwards for a suitable balance.

I've had a 2023 Gen1 R1S (Quad motor) and now have a 2025 Gen2 R1S (Dual Standard). The seats are identical between the two.
