Don’t think it’s the wheels alone (but these are forged wheels) and going AT is what is killing my efficiency. The wheels are atomic borrowing the rhino design.
I think i have the same wheels as you. Aw09 Atomic? It shouldn't be that big of a drop off since Brian and Shap got a very good numbers. I'm wondering what is going on with yours.

I have custom designed wheels not the AW09

Something seems wonky with that efficiency. I have the 20" OEM ATs, and driving from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe and back last weekend, my overall efficiency was about 1.9 miles/kWh for the 500 mile trip. That's including driving exclusively in AP, going over a 7500' pass, having two Ebikes on a hitch rack, and about 60 miles of driving into a 20-30 mph headwind on the return trip.

Trying to decide between these Territory AT's and the TrailRunner AT's to replace the stock Pirelli ATs. I would rather have the 275/65 r20 size to match the size of my current tires and have an accurate speedo.

Looks like the TrailRunner is an LT tire so that plus the larger 65 size makes it weigh 12lbs more and also more expensive. I assume this will hurt range a bit. Any other differences in ride quality, handling, tread wear, snow performance or (most important to me) road noise? Off-road capability is not a big factor for me. Thanks!

What efficiency was Brian getting? I’ve done about 300 miles getting about 1.7 Mi/Wh. On my 21” oem I was at about 2.68 Mi/Wh over 1500 miles.
I am at 2.52 mi/kWh on my Dual Performance Max with a mix of city and highway and mostly All-Purpose mode. With 3% conversion for 33" OD, the efficiency number is approximately 2.45.

Rivian R1T R1S New Goodyear 20” tire option - available when? 1725507793952-h9

@emlo, you will not need to convert your numbers as the 275/55R21 OEM tires are the same Outer Diameter as the 275/60R20 Goodyear tires. The 1.7 mi/kWh does seem low. Are you noticing any other issues that could be due to tire/wheel balance or alignment?

Hi Ron, I would recommend the Rivian specific 275/60R20 Territory AT. The TrailRunner is a good tire, but the Territory AT was designed specifically to perform well on the R1. I feel the Territory AT offers the best combination of noise performance, efficiency, snow, ride, handling, etc.

Unfortunately, I am still working with Rivian to update my software to the 33" tire OD. Hopefully the process will be easier in the future. I have gotten used to mentally subtracting 3mph from my speedometer. Otherwise, the tire and the truck work great together!

Not noticing anything different. I don’t drive like a grandma but I certainly don’t jam on the accelerator either. I’ve only got 300 miles on them and the ride is much softer which I like. Dual Max Performance on all purpose mode using automatic height too. Just not getting anything close to
My 2.68 mi/Wh I was getting on oem 21

Yeah I left HMB for Truckee two weekends ago, two bikes on the OneUp hitch rack, but mixed it up between Conserve and AP because of the return headwinds. 2.1 avg on OE ATs.

Winds were nuts that weekend.

Is the Rivian-specific Wrangler 3-peak mountain snowflake certified? Ordered this wheel/tire set up to avoid needing to swap tires this winter once the passes start posting that “traction tires advised,” but not seeing the cert on other iterations of this tire.

Yes, the Rivian specific Wrangler Territory AT is 3PMSF certified.

Awesome. Thank you. Look forward to getting the tire and trying it out in the wet snow of the PNW this winter.
Cool! Enjoy your new setup!

What is your best guess of how long these tires will last? Little bit disappointed with my general grabbers already at 6/32 with only 10k miles on it
