Referral codes should have dated back to 6/6

Referral Codes cannot be applied retroactively. Referrals for existing preorder and/or reservation holders who purchase vehicles using their current preorder and/or reservation are excluded from this Program.

I think you need to order from the shop. I scrapped my custom order for other reasons, ordered from the shop and participated in the referral code program.

I think people are misunderstanding the reason for the referral code program. It is to entice owners to talk up the brand or give people on the fence a little nudge to take the plunge.

Makes perfect sense to me why people that already have an order placed are not eligible.

Paid the full reservation fee back in June and it’s non refundable. Apparently the car is finally through assembly so I don’t want to push this out any longer.

You're talking to a bunch of people who waited years, to be fair. I put down my deposit in July of 2021 and took delivery in 2024.

I think it makes perfect sense for Rivian to make a cutoff at time of ordering to apply a code, otherwise where does it end?

that’s true, but Rivian was letting people add friends and family discounts up until the moment of delivery which was a bigger discount and served the same purpose.

The referral program is just another incentive the way I look at it.

Its basically a $1,500 incentive and 1 year free charging on RAN. They just split up the incentive and are making a referral program out of it. Its a smart way to do business if you ask me.

Expect the referral program to change a bit if Rivian feels its to their benefit to do so. Isn't the F&F incentive also limited to shop vehicles?

To me its kind of like when your at the car dealer they always want to give you a better deal on something they already have on the lot vs special orders.
