I wish they would use this wood trim with OC.

I am really hoping that once they ramp up production they would make the interior fully customizable. Mix match the leather, trim and headliner. I would even pay a small extra fee for this option.
I think all three of the interiors would look great with the wood trim from the the Forest Edge. At the very least, the FE's rich-colored trim has seemed consistent throughout the life of the Configurator. The lighter color from the Ocean Coast seems to change from time to time, as does the darkened version in the Black Mountain.

I've felt this way all along - at least in using the FE wood with Black Mountain to add a level of refinement to the interior theme.

Yeah feel like they could have given more contrast to OC and BF. Both of them, just based on photos, seem very flat for me. I wish the OC wood trim could be a bit darker and the BF trim could be a bit lighter or add a brown tint to it.

This is where FE stands out for me with the right amount of contrast, though I still cannot get behind the green/blue leather.

Question: does anyone know why FE is a 2k addon? If the wood is all ash, and just the stains are different, it shouldn't be the trim. Is it dying the seats? It feels like a giant upcharge, and my ignorant self doesn't see the cost center that justifies it.

It has absolutely nothing to do with material costs or labor. It's all about supply/demand/exclusivity and what Rivian thinks people will pay. Same with the different price points for different paint colors.

I thought the green was much better than I thought it would be, as it was fairly light and didn't seem to clash with anything else.

The wood on the green is my favorite wood of the 3 interiors.

Its a lot of trim pieces and the dash looks like it would be horrendous to remove, but the hobbyist woodworker in me tempted to remove, sand it down, and apply a stain color of my choosing.

Yes! I've been hoping for more pics of the yellow+FE!

I don't know about @koersontap but it's currently what I have configured! I was intrigued by the idea, but once I knew it was a showroom-worthy combination with Rivian using it for the events, it became much more viable in my mind.

I'm so tempted. The only reasons I *haven't* yet are because 1) A deep forest green has been my dream car color for as long as I can remember, and 2) Still haven't seen either.of these colors on the R1S, which is what I'm getting. And I'm *still* going back and forth in the configurator.

Agree with many viewpoints on the wood trim and wanting the ability to adjust OC and BM wood trims. While I had NEVER considered FE before, after seeing all 3 in person last week the FE really stole my attention. While they all look good, FE just seems to have a more premium look to it.

Here is where I would like all your input please. My biggest dilemma is what exterior colors don’t clash with it. The Midnight Black with FE at the event matched very well. The Compass Yellow did too oddly enough. Thoughts on FE and exterior color combos that work together…not just what you think is best? Thank you!

Honestly, I think the only one it wouldn't go with is the blue.
No way, I bet blue looks great with FE. It'd be more ocean themed than blue+OC because blue+FE would look like a blue sea wrapping green-tinged flora. If a patch of seaweed in blue waters can look good, than so can blue+FE.

Alternatively, blue+FE is like a blue sky over a forest. It works in a number of ways.

IMO, the only place where FE might not work is red, but I originally thought yellow+FE wouldn't work, so maybe there's some way red can work too.

I am with most of you, love the wood color of FE but need to see the vegan leather with the vehicle colors. My exterior choice is right now between Midnight and El Cap Granite. Really need to see FE plus ECG, if not in the same vehicle at least on the same day; hoping the grey feel to FE doesn't clash with the ECG.

At the end of the day also need to decide if it is worth the $2k upgrade price for FE... Plus I am on team R1S and I am not sure how the colors look on all the R1Ts we are seeing is going to carry over on the R1S.
