I’m a Connect+ subscriber and I have NOT received the update yet. Keep checking, but most updates come in waves and sometimes i’m in the first batch, and sometimes I’m in the last. So, I dont think signing up for Connect+ will change much for you at this point. Roll outs have always taken time, and this is too soon to worry yet.

I have to admit this actually surprises me. I thought that when they said "priority updates" what they meant was that connect plus subscribers will download the update over cellular immediately while non-subscribers would have to connect to Wi-Fi to get an immediate download.

Did not anticipate it sending to connect Plus days before, regardless of connection type
Look at the bright side of it.. if the update starts bricking vehicles or systems, you'll know about it before it comes to your Rivian. :)

Now the question is how long is the delay for us non subscribers? A few days? A week?

Look at the bright side of it.. if the update starts brickin vehicles or systems, you'll know about it before it comes to your Rivian. :)
Oh no I definitely subscribed. Totally worth it to me to have the connectivity

I have no idea and that’s where my d*ck move sensation comes from.

While I agree with you, they are only enforcing what they said 90 days ago when the trial started.... I'm not a subscriber and hate the wait

Here’s an update:

I finally gave in and purchased the monthly subscription around 9 AM this morning! The issues I encountered with the subscription purchase turned out to be a widespread Rivian issue. The Rivian wasn’t showing up on my Wi-Fi network, so I sat in the truck for about 5 minutes around 11 AM to ensure it was connected. At 11:25 AM, I received a notification that version 2024.39.01 is available, and it’s currently being installed on the Rivian.

Just wanted to keep everyone informed!

This thread is something else…all the c+ is not worth it folks losing their mind over when they’ll get the Halloween update.

I subscribed to Connect+ last night because we have a Trunk or Treat scheduled tonight and was irritated we hadn't gotten the update yet, and the update was subsequently available shortly thereafter. I also noticed it's a 2024.39.01 update. Maybe they found and fixed a bug?

Either way, shame on Rivian using Halloween mode to drive subscribers, and further, shame on them for not letting us keep extra colors on the interior lights (red and green - maybe something Christmas themed is coming?), and lock sounds post Halloween. Bad enough the Gen1 vehicles aren't going to get any of the self-driving features originally promised. The fact they won't keep simple configuration options available is telling. I bet we'll be able to purchase additional colors for a fee soon.

I get needing to make the Connect+ appealing, but the least they could do is put language in along the lines of "Non-Connect+ subscribers receive updates 2 weeks after Connect+ subscribers" instead of an ambiguous "Priority" label, timed with a limited duration event.

I completely understanding losing the costumes for licensing reasons I'm sure. But the other stuff is just irritating. Let us customize.

C+ subscriber and still no update. I sat in the truck for about 10 minutes last night checking all the settings, cleaning the screens and generally wiping down the interior. Soooo, even with wifi connected, the truck not sleeping…nothing.

I’m (begrudgingly) a Connect + sub and have the update waiting. I think I’m gonna hold off on updates for a long while. The last 3 have broken a lot of stuff for me and I doubt they get fixed anytime soon. I wish there was a setting to turn off update reminders or updates in general. I like my truck the way it is and the constant jacking with stuff is breaking more things than it’s fixing. But hey Holliday lights….on Gen 2 only ?.

so a question to help me understand ... when tethering you use the data from your phone ... if you subscribe to C+ you use data from the C+ subscription ... is that correct?
