Any Non-Connect+ Users got the 2024.39 Update yet?

Have you received the 2024.39 update yet?

I know it seems trivial... and it is, but I signed up for C+ on Aug.17th, it was charged to my account on Oct. 15th, my account page shows an active subscription until 10/15/2025, the vehicle has been on my home WIFI for the majority of every day since the rollout......and I still don't have the update.

The point here is that it is part of a program for which I paid. It's not that I necessarily want or need the update (although anything that fixes the wonky volume would be more than welcome.) I probably won't even check out Halloween mode. But since I paid for priority updates, I expect to receive them.

Which features do you still have? If on wifi, you'll have almost everything offered in Connect+.
It's clearly a glitch but I don't subscribe to C+ and one of my vehicles has full C+ functionality. I do not have my phone tethered and on the way to work this AM I was able to stream Apple Music directly from the built in app. I see an option to turn on Hot Spot. Live Cameras are active. I have Satellite maps, etc.

In this same car, when I go to the Updates screen I have the option to subscribe to Connect+, which for this particular vehicle is pointless.

I'll just enjoy it until it goes away.

Have you informed Rivian about this, or just us?

Data point: R1T gen 1, previously had been in a later update ring than others. I always got Software Updates a week or so later than the first reports. Had not received any update notice as of yesterday afternoon. For this and other reasons, I subscribed to Connect+ yesterday afternoon. Last night I got the notification of the vehicle update being available.

I informed Rivian on the 19th. No response. Crickets. Just like when I'd contact my guide before I took delivery. I really like the truck, but dealing with Rivian..... not so much.

I'm sorry for this. What's weird is that this response doesn't seem typical, at least in my experience. I have submitted no less than 35 tickets. I have never gone more than 48 hours without a phone call to schedule an appointment...

I decided to wait out the Rivian chat queue and see what they had to say about not receiving the "Priority software update." After an hour of waiting and then chatting, the below conversation is really all there was.

Rivian: Thank you, from what I can see in the previous conversation, you have questions about the latest software update, is that correct?

Me: Well, yes. But more in regard to why , as a Connect+ subscriber I haven't received the update while it's now being pushed to non Connect+ vehicles.

Rivian: I understand how this can be frustrating, the answer to that question depends on many factors, one of the biggest ones is Wifi connection and also be the time when the trial period of the subscription ended. Updates are distributed in VIN batches, and the timing can vary. I know that moving forward Connect + subscribers will have priority over our Over the air updated installation times.

Rivian: The vehicle has been connected to my home WiFi the majority of the time since the OTA was initially pushed. I subscribed on Aug 17th and my credit card was processed on Oct. 15th.

Rivian: I can see how the timing seems odd and does not make sense but as of now, I do not think there is an issue with your vehicle yet, just because the update was just launched and sometimes it can take up 7-10 days for all of our owners to be on the same update.

So, the "Priority software updates" is like the Pirate's Code in Pirates of the Caribbean.....not really a thing, just a guideline. Great. What else in Connect+ is more of a guideline? And how, as an early subscriber, could my VIN not have been in an early batch?

They created a service ticket, but I'm pretty sure that will go nowhere. Thankfully, my truck has been trouble free, so I'm not really going to sweat this very much even though it may seem like it from the rant.

Finally got the update last night, now my garage door function is totally messed up. Third update in a row that has broken the garage doors.

Follow up from previous post:

Shortly after posting my last comments, I received a call from Rivian about proactively replacing my 12V battery. After making arrangements to schedule the battery replacement, he checked deeper into why I hadn't yet received the update. He said that Connect+ subscribers were priority and put in the queue based on subscription date and that It didn't make sense to him why, with my subscription date of 8/17 and activation date of 10/15, my Vin is so far down the list as to essentially be out of the priority range.

He said I'm currently in the next push, whenever that is, and that they can't schedule an OTA update unless an OTA update attempt has failed.

Side note: He also said they're trying to get battery replacements done as quickly as they can. To the point of squeezing appointments in where no appointment times currently exist. That makes me a little nervous about my 12V system.

Same here. I went from the garage driver screen pop up having disappeared for the last 3 updates to now appearing at each start up - and randomly as I drive - regardless of how far I am from the programmed location.

Anyone fix these issues by wiping out their door from the system and reprogramming? I would prefer to know before I try, its a PITA to put my complexe's shared door in learn mode.

I did a soft reset and it fixed it. You would think each OTA would perform a reset by default.
