Gen 2 onlyI left reading that article more confused than informed. Is this only on Gen2, or is it in Gen1 too? And is it activated yet?
I have been curious...do you find other drivers bright you with these?I’m super impressed with this feature on my R1S.
Never - it's done an incredible job cutting out the light around other drivers, so they never even know the high beams are onI have been curious...do you find other drivers bright you with these?
Yup! Flash away! That is really cool. Can you still force it to full brights if you want to? Say to quick let driver comming other direcrion has their brights on?
Very nice!Yup! Flash away!
Not enough for me yet....maybe a G2 QM. But still not seeing the value side of equation. Plus my commute is from my bed to my home office....so I don't spend as many dark hours on road anymore like all the years when younger with crappy halogen headlights and no remote start (I pretty much drove all sedans with manuals during the younger years)....but if I commuted in dark....certainly would be on the plus side of the evaluation. My 2021 polestar 2 had lights capable of this, but polestar never enabled it. They've said they won't because they don't want to go through the testing involved. Some folks went on their own and enabled them, seems like they perform a lot the same. I hadn't been driving the car enough to bother before we got rid of it.
I think this is one of the features that might sway me into upgrading my R1T. 4 months out of the year I'm commuting in the dark both ways.
