Okay, 1) I HATE APPLE, but 2) We have enough iOS crud in our house that this is about the best we can use for now.

ISSUE: I have playlists that I can share between devices - phones, PC's, etc. that include our substantial library of purchased and downloaded music. In our prior vehicle, when we did not feel like streaming whatever over Bluetooth (from my Android phone, it sounds like it's being streamed under water), we would use a USB card with all our acceptable travel music on it. North of 300 songs. I know, I know, I know - a USB Stick is not an option with the Rivian sound system. BUT Apple Music. I have playlists on Apple Music that contain all of our acceptable music. WHEN I FIRE UP ANY of the playlists through Apple Music on the Rivian screen, none of the playlists contain more than 50 entries.

Trying to determine if this is a storage capacity issue with the Rivian head unit or something with the Apple front-end. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks,
Rade

This was noticed as soon as Apple Music was available, but eventually we figured out it is in fact playing the entire playlist, but will only display that number songs.

I don't know if this tracks, but I will watch the next time we are out for a drive.

Rivian almost has Apple Music running acceptably. One thing that would make it acceptable would be to allow it to cache music on the SD card (or in system) so I don’t lose music when I lose the connection to ATT. I’ll admit that ATT is pretty decent in the mountains but it’s still not enough coverage to prevent music from dropping out.

Okay, 1) I HATE APPLE,
There's probably some form of therapy for that, like other irrational psychoses.

Rivian's infotainment is pretty terrible and this is a known problem that they refuse to address. It's always been this way. I guess it will get better when they introduce CarPlay in 2025.

Dude.... so much this... One of the key functions of the streaming services is "offline" mode. So when you're out in the wilderness, you can still listen, and, when your in civilization in online mode, you can listen without waiting for each song to load.

This really needs to happen.

Nope. I hate Apple and iOS. And iOS hates me.

On another note - seems that Apple Music is functioning. Turned it on, set it to a rather large playlist (500+ songs) and it's been moving through them without hitting a repeat! Thanks for letting me know that the folder will only display the first 50 entries!
