the most important thing is your car is charging ?, you’re not alone. I’ve had to park strangely at Tesla stations at times

I probably would have parked parallel with the back of my T up that gravel divider thing. Put it in High and park on the backside of Superchargers or in the H spot. no harm no foul

You're not alone; I've had to get creative at many different chargers on multiple occasions. If you stay with the car, you did your best within the given parameters. Until chargers get better, this happens sometimes.

Seems appropriate, Rivians are like a mentally handicapped Tesla.

Where I charge, the handicapped stalls are marked something like "use this space last but not limited to only handicapped users."

Yea that would have been my go to as well, but might not have been a choice that came to mind in the moment.

I avoid Telsa, super high prices. The last one was more expensive that California gas

Superchargers are always lower cost than every other option in my experience. There is no SC on the planet that costs more than gas unless you're driving a Chevy EV.
