Solution: Downloading Music on Spotify

Today, I went to download some music on my phone and found a new tab on Spotify in the downloads section called "manage downloads." Within that section, you can download it to your Rivian. I haven't tested it yet as I don't have the time to explore a back road in search of no cell service.
First, find an album or playlist to download and click on the three dots beside the download button, then scroll down to the section called "manage downloads" If you're logged into the same account as in the Riv, it should show up within that menu. Not sure if this is working however as it's been loading for several minutes. It does say that you can check the progress in "your Library" within the Spotify interface on the Rivian.

Pleeeaassse be true for Android. Bonus points for being able to download to a USB. This would likely make me pony up for Connect+. Bluetooth sounds like poop.

Spotify app on my iphone worked to let me DL to my Rivian- i havent tried it in my Riv yet

Hmmm. I have an iphone 16, I'm on the latest OS, and latest version of Spotify. Either I'm an idiot, or this isn't available to me. Is there something else you're also doing - perhaps you're inside / connected to your rivian at the same time ?

I’m on the developer software for my iphone OS. I do know that spotify does staged roll outs for features based on certain factors. But there isn’t anything that i’m doing special otherwise.

The one album I downloaded from my phone shows up in the “library” menu in the R1T

this worked for me also. The downloaded albums appear in Library under the playlists tab.
