The mandate has nothing to do with it, glass is glass. I had a sunroof done under glass coverage, $0. This is why the glass coverage on Rivians is INSANELY expensive. I calculated that you can do a new windshield every 18 months for the cost of the coverage. Obviously not worth it.

Have you seen the Lucid's glass? It goes from the windshield all the way to the back as one sheet. Beautiful, but holy shit...wonder what that costs.
