Gear guard alerts??

Quick question, yesterday I found I had 3 new scratches on my driver rear plastic lower corner bumper. It is in the plastic part of the bumper. Like someone or something drove into me.
I know I didn’t do this and I have washed my car multiple times (by hand) and didn’t notice it. I looked through my footage and saw nothing out of the ordinary. So question is, did this happen a long time ago and I never noticed and Gary didn’t give me an alert or did it just happen and again, no alert?
Does gear guard give an alert like that if you are hit? I don’t even know since it has never happened. Any insights would be grateful. And I guess I am parking further away in lots from now on.

Gear Guard for the longest time only recorded if it detects a human.
Last update supposedly added motion sensing...

There's no impact detection AFAIK...better to add a dashcam for that
