I’m looking to install two 10 inch subs in the gear tunnel, would that be a good way of getting some decent bass into the cabin? Has anyone else done the same? I truly don’t know much about audio and anything along that line. I’m just looking to actually feel the bass, I don’t want anything crazy.

I would not put it in the tunnel. A subwoofer depends on being able to pressurize the air your ears are in, and with it in the tunnel, it will be very muffled.

I put a sub in the trunk of my Miata. It sounded great before I put the interior pieces back on that blocked off the trunk from the passenger compartment. You'd at least want to put the armrest down and open the door to the tunnel semi-permanently if you wanted to hear the sub.

I think you'd still hear two 10s, especially with enough power, but it would be a real compromise. I'd also vote to put it under the rear seat.
