Do you have a pointer to a list of things that should be submitted or not? Is my drunk driving submittal-worthy? Also I know that Lukas' fork doesn't go in Firehose, but it does get log reviews then?
I would think that if you encounter unexpected behavior from the device, especially if it is accompanied by hardware faults in the car, this would be an issue you would think is worthy of having someone to look into. My point about submitting routes with logs is because its very difficult to fix bugs based on anecdotal feedback. The logs help us figure out exactly what happened and how to go about fixing it

Seems worth pointing out you can run main fork/standard open pilot with a comma 3x and just the one regular harness, and this works pretty great. You do not have to run sunny or filet or anything else to have this work on Rivian. Just for those entering the conversation late. It will use Rivian's longitudinal control, and open pilots lateral control, and again works very well.

I visit these comma threads about once a week and thumb through, but this caught my eye:

Been using Filet o Fish without many issues. Looking forward to Tonb Raider 6. Been hearing good things.
Is this a 90s throwback reference? Eating filet o fish and playing tomb raider while driving?

That's what I did before switching to Lukas' sunnypilot folk with long, which is much better.

Rivian ACC (long) is ok on highway but pretty bad on curves (often don't slow down enough) and other roads (would accelerate until pretty close to car in front and brake abruptly at the last moment)

I am hopeful that eventually we can completely disable the slowing down for curves. So annoying.

I don't know what that means, but maybe we're not communicating. If a curve is marked for a speed, then it should respond to that, like some other systems do. Currently, both OP and Rivian slow down for curves that should be taken at the set speed. This is annoying and dangerous, and creates a problem for traffic.

Long thread, not sure if its been asked yet but what happens if youre using comma and it gets into an accident? How would insurance view/handle that? No difference from if you were using Rivian's system?

I think he's talking about Rivian's CSA (Curve Speed Assist), which is complete trash.
That's true, but OP's curve speed assist is pretty decent from my experience.

Definitely agree with that assessment, but Sunny longitudinal is way too laid back, any kind of traffic and I have a merge fest in front of me. And yes, I have it set to aggressive, which honestly didn't make much of a difference. Also I get occasionally phantom braking on it. So for my use case it's honestly a wash between Rivian longitudinal and sunny for longitudinal control. Opinions will clearly vary depending on use case and driving habits.

It shouldn't slow down for unmarked, high speed curves at all. So that's not decent.

Let's be clear. A major interstate curves through a mountain or even around a hill, the car should NOT slow down. It does.

I received my "upgraded" harness from Luckas just in time to mount and install my Comma3. Sadly, I had requested the Chun Mount from BGill over a month ago, but I did not make this round and he is out of them once again and responded that he is not sure of what the impact of tariffs will be moving forward. Bummer, but I decided to move forward with the Janka's Cross Glide Mount and am hoping it will work well. I will report.

After looking at the new harness that is supposed to add Horizontal control, I only see one USB-C port to route the cable to the Comma 3. Is this due to the upgrade? I thought I was seeing those who added horizontal control were required to route 2 USB-C cables?? I just want to clarify before mounting and installing the Comma 3. Thanks all!

I was bummed to hear bgill66 is out of the Chun harnesses. Hopefully he's able to restock soon.

As for the new harness and steering wheel button control - did you just get Lukas' harness, or did you get the harness and the modification? You'll need both in order to get steering wheel button support.
