I’m working with a Portland startup called Ranger EV to help improve their platform signup process and they’re testing a new version update. It only takes a minute and you’ll get entered to win a raffle prize:

Want to win a FREE 2-night stay at a featured Ranger Station? Simply create a Ranger host account with the link below before Monday June 2nd to be eligible.

It only takes a minute! Your location is kept private.

If you have an Airbnb or vacation rental, this is worth checking out regardless of the giveaway.....

https://www.rangerev.app/signin?host=1

If you encounter any errors, or have feedback you'd like to provide, they've asked that you email [email protected] and provide some detail to help work thru any issues. This helps the process.

This is a great concept! I'm slowly exploring STR for our cabin if I have to PCS, and would definitely use something like this.

It's interesting to see the $.24-.36/kWh rates on a few. It's more money for the host, likely more than raw kWh costs, but less than fast charging. Seems like a fair split though!

Right? Most EV owners don't mind paying for the energy. The convenience is a value all it's own. Win win type situation.

When you say didn't work, can you expand on that?

Clicked on the confirmation email and took me to a page with a red error notice about wrong missing email.
Interesting. I've let them know. I just tried with one of my other emails and it went fine, so not sure. Maybe give it another go.

Second time I didn't get the red error message but it asked me to enter my email again (stupid)

Thanks for following up. I mentioned this to them. They are definitely wanting feedback here.

@LivingInKaos It worked the first time for me, but I also got the "enter your email" page after clicking the link, which was a little confusing. After clicking a couple other buttons, I saw the Account page and realized I was logged in.

User feedback: I think we're used to a landing page confirming activation or "Welcome to XXXXX!"

I want to learn more about this for my public chargers.
After several tries I got back to my account. Doesn't seem to have any password so that needs to be fixed.
Not clear how the program works. How are people charged since there is no equipment, just your outlets.
They offer a "seamless guest experience" but there seem to be lots of hurdles.
They mention "Open Charge Point Protocol"... Is this something from ChargePoint and how does it work?
