I bought the BestEvMod Frunk Cooler (by @BestEvMod(AOSK)) soon after we picked up our R1S in 2023. It lives under the frunk divider in case we ever need it. I've used it a number of times, but always loading it from home. Tonight I needed it when we were at a friend's graduation party - It was an ice cream emergency...the host had ordered 10 half-gallons of ice cream from a local creamery and when he went to pick it up they didn't have it! A couple of frantic phone calls later and the creamery confessed that they screwed up and that it was at their other location. He was getting ready to leave his daughter's party to go get it and we volunteered to go pick it up for them.

The cooler held (and comfortably carried) 10 half-gallons! I couldn't zip it closed with all 10 (they were plastic tubs), but I put them in it and covered them as much as I could with the insulated lid. As soon as we started serving (two flavors so two came out) I was able to zip it and keep them frozen until they were needed.

If anyone has a need for a cooler that fits perfectly in the Gen1 frunk (I don't know about the Gen2 frunk), this is a great solution. Sorry - no photos.

Ha! Dinner was walking tacos - kept warm in what I thought was the largest crock pot I'd ever seen. Turns out it was a 28 QT electric roasting pan. I'll admit to having a little kitchen gear envy...My wife squashed that idea, reminding me that I didn't need any more kitchen gadgets.

@COdogman - If you ever find yourself in south-central PA I promise you a patty melt :)

Bought same for my R1T and it works well… but sadly my Gen 1 suffered Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly (totaled). But the cooler bag still works well in my Gen 2, just has to live in the top section of the frunk.

Why does the website have this item with a big alert " Frequently returned item"?
Lots of wares on Amazon for the R1 has me wondering if the sellers have actual hands on experience with the vehicle, or are just working with intel on dimensions to make quick profit. Note how they are among first to offer accessories, instead of established brands. And I wonder how they got their intel, especially during days when many of us were still waiting impatiently for delivery.

On this particular soft cooler, the frunk itself is not insulated. And just beyond the tub are EV and HVAC bits that run hot, especially in summer. Sitting in lower compartment means the cooler separated from these heat sources by just the thin wall of frunk tub. I have doubts. But if I were to use one, it’d be with freezer packs instead of the pictured ice.

PS-My intent is not to speak ill of forums sponsors. I want to see better products, so they can do better than make a quick buck.

I have noticed that the bottom of the frunk tub gets warm. Does anybody know of a fridge or cooler fridge that fits, say in the back of R1S and can be plugged in?

I saw that and didn't understand it unless it's Gen2 buyers who assumed it would fit in the bottom of their frunk perfectly (like the Gen1) and then didn't want it when it didn't. It's really well made and has internal straps to ensure that it keeps its shape if, for example, you overload it with ice cream. I'm hoping BestEvMod comes out with a Gen2 version as well.
