My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
After 5 days parked with GG on (in a high traffic area), I came back to borked Apple Music.

Multiple resets but no success.

Anyone get bizarre behavior recently?

Service engaged, 60 day plus wait. Somehow this pisses me off more that bad half shafts.

yes people on reddit been reporting the same since yesterday. soft reset hasn't been working for me. Apple Music app keeps crashing. I made service request too, but I suspect they'll be able to fix it on server side soon, hopefully.

I just did a hard reset (emergency flashers + left button) and it seems to have worked.

Previously, experience (and suggestions from Rivian) were to do Soft Reset only, or wait for a deep sleep. I've shied away from fully rebooting the truck, but that seems to have fixed it.

I'll try hard reset tomorrow if it's still issue. but for now I'm enjoying listening to all the rattles and creeks in the car with the silence without Apple Music lol

seems like it's LTE connection issue from all the comments here:

Mine did the same thing, weird issues, it is back working. Frustrating for a paid service with all the issues Apple Music and the Rivian.

And the workaround of just playing Apple Music through your phone temporarily is unbearable? I get that it’s annoying but doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.

does anyone's apple music actually resume where it left off, mine never has except if you only leave the truck for a few minutes, if it locks/ goes to sleep, it will not resume. I have service scheduled for Friday to do the half shafts, if this is fixable I'll add it, if everyone experiences the same non-resume pattern I won't bother mentioning it.

I could’ve also just walked 1 hour to my destination. No big deal. Why have a car functioning with the things you paid for? 🤣

Yea its been frustrating, happening on both my Rivians so its a universal issue. I think its more with the internet connection though as even Spotify had SOME issues, but not as bricked as Apple Music was. Like Mike said, a hard reset in both seemed to fix it for now.

I just recently switched over to Apple Music and its a bummer the same UI features that Spotify has in the car app just simply aren't there for AM. Navigation is def more clunky and not intuitive, hope the team really refines this app!

And yes these are first world problems, but we are paying for this and its a rivian forum

Try logging out of Apple Music and logging back in. It worked for me when resets didn’t.

Really don't like looking at my phone to select/change music when I'm driving.

Unbearable? no, of course not.

I just tried Hazard reset, and still same issue, but service rep told me toggling off Dolby Atmos might help. which I’ve done, and no issues so far!

My apple music app can't seem to go more than 5-6 songs without freezing and restarting. But that started over a month ago. This week I finally got sick of resets and signing in and out and just went back to using it through BT. I suspect at least part of the issue is ATT's terrible service, but it's basically unusable. :asshat:

I've been dealing with this the past few days. A soft and hard reset doesn't totally fix it. I signed out of Apple and then could not sign back in until I connected to Wi-Fi at home. What I did notice is the issue starts when I try to skip a song. If I am connected at home, fire up a playlist and drive away I have no problem continuing to listen until I skip a song. Once I do, it just doesn't work and won't work again until connected back to Wi-Fi. Interestingly I found that if you skip backwards the previous songs will load, but it will error out an exactly where you skipped the song the original time. Literally up until Saturday I had not experienced this issue other than every now and then and usually a reset or log out and in worked just fine. It is very unstable right now though.
