Then you haven’t had your R1 very long. I’ve had mine two years, and the amount of software improvements I have received has been amazing. I am grateful because in my estimation my truck has double the features I paid for.

Your vehicle operates just fine, this is a complaint about the 120V outlet. Talk about a penny ante problem. If this is really that serious to you I suggest reflection and being grateful about how little you have to complain about.
OP has every right to complain. 120V outlet is a feature of the vehicle and for $70-100K, it SHOULD WORK. Never, ever, compromise if you’re paying big bucks on a vehicle. That is why BMW and Mercedes are top luxury brands because their drivers demand PERFECTION as they should. Rivian drivers should continue to complain if they find problems/issues with the vehicle, that’s how we help Rivian become a long-lasting, reliable brand.

My outlet isn’t working, and it’s been in the shop for two weeks. It is brutal not having my R1S but I use the outlet regularly to charge my work laptop and other devices.

Mercedes is shit save a couple vehicles, all of which cost far more than a Rivian.

I’d just like to say that my wife’s A5 Cabrio ($70k vehicle) has had issues with the Virtual Cockpit since we bought it (Oct 2023): it won’t remember the settings.

I’ve had it in for service twice for recalls, and asked each time about a fix. Nothing. It’s been a known bug since summer 2023 (just google “audi virtual cockpit not remembering”), and is not limited to the A5. My mother’s Q5 plug in hybrid also has the issue.

Meanwhile, Rivian continues to push updates & bug fixes every month. Do they get it perfect every time? No, but at least they are trying to fix bugs.

Driving my previous Audi made it clear why VW bought Rivian’s software stack. Their software was a HS student project compared to Rivian’s.

OP - did you get anywhere with this this? I'm having the same issue. I charge equipment for work and it is problematic to discover that the auto has reset and my stuff isn't charged. I'm trying to get Rivian to acknowledge this as an ongoing issue.

No. Sadly Rivian doesn't care. And based on the Rivian defenders here, this is just a "small" issue and whining about it only signals eye rolls. So without enough owner complaints, Rivian will do nothing to fix it. Even if it's clearly broken.

I agree - it’s increasingly frustrating and difficult to penetrate the “customer service” front line and their canned ctrl-alt-del answers. I had a ticket open with them and specifically asked that it not be closed until there was an acknowledgment of the issue. That has mysteriously disappeared :-/ I’ll update here if I do get anyway.

As for the defender clowns (or the contrarians as I call them) - I try to ignore but really wish there was a way to block them….

There is a way to "block" a user on this forum.

The auto power outlets setting was a nice update but my auto setting does not stick. I have to turn it back on every 3 or 2 or 1 or 5 days. Always a fun guessing game with Rivian. You just never know if any of your settings will stick.

Please stop changing our settings. I'm tired of interacting with the touchscreen over and over because the software is terrible. It's dangerous (taking eyes off road constantly) and annoying.
Yeah, mine has never stuck either. It’s annoying.

I also couldn’t get my preferences around Bluetooth to stick for about two years (I don’t want phone, since I use my AirPods, but I do want media). I hate my truck grabbing my calls whenever I open the door to grab something or in the past, just walking by my truck.

The Bluetooth setting thing seems to stick now.

So many apologists and victim blamers in this thread! It would be nice if Rivian could at least make the features they have rolled out consistently work as intended. I’ve found that a lot of people are willing to excuse all sorts of sub par aspects of the Rivian experience from software to service to hardware design/reliability issues in ways that surprise me. I still love our Rivians, but I wish more people pushed them a little harder to do better and not settle for almost right!
