Interesting. The bottom line is it's their place, so they get to make the rules. But I would respectfully submit that they might want to consider: a) How common are EV fires?, b) are there any wild/forrest fires known to have been caused by EV's?, and c) what is the scientific consensus on the cause of increased wild fire activity? (Spoiler alert: not EV's.)Theres a RV park near my Cabin that strictly says no EV Charging. I asked the campground host about it, and its not because of the cost, but because the "owners" think that most EV fires happen from charging. Since they are in a Forest I can see how they would want to stay away from the fire thing, but I think they need to re-evaluate their thoughts about charging causing fires.
Again their place, their rules. And I certainly share their desire to avoid fires. But my guess is that the reluctance to allow EV charging on the part of most campground operators is based on cost of electricity. But I'd submit that there's a business opportunity here that can benefit both sides!
