21" off road tires for R1T?

I've been watching Pirelli to see if they would finally announce availability of their 275/55R21 Scorpion XTM AT Elect tires. But, the original pirellis currently on the truck shows the tread wearing thinner than I am comfortable with. Has anyone found off road tires for this wheel size that they're happy with?

Is that "good success" wearing out the Pirellis?

Seriously, though - I burned through the first set of Pirellis (21") in 13k miles. Got a new set & an alignment (because apparently that was screwed up from the factory). I put about 15k on the second set and they're nearly to the wear bars.

I just put on a new set of Michelins [with a 75k-mile tread wear warranty!!] a couple weeks/few hundred miles ago. I obviously haven't had too much of a chance to put them through their paces yet, fingers crossed for the best!

Besides the short lifespan, I had no other complaints about the Pirelli tires - they handled everything I threw at them from sporty driving to moderate off-roading. If the Michelins that are less expensive and come with a healthy tread wear warranty perform nearly as well, I'll be thrilled

I actually got 41,000 miles out of mine. I even did quite a few launches when the truck was newer to let various friends and family experience it.

I do drive in all purpose most of the time and use auto ride height. Also I think it may have to do with good alignment. It seems most who had premature tire wear also had alignment issues. I do not think I drive that different than everyone else. I am on my second set of tires and I am looking like I will get close to that again. The Minneapolis service center took great care to get the alignment just right. I even waited until after hours for them to finish because they wanted to get it right. This is a shout out to the MN service center too. They always have done a great job whenever I have been there.

This is BANANAS! I’m about to change out my set of 21”s and they’re at circa 22k miles. I consider myself a very conservative driver. 41k is amazing

Most have said 30 to 35,000 is good with those tires. I have not heard of anyone getting more miles but I am sure someone has. I have a 22 R1T and it seems to be a good one. Quite a few on these forums have had issues. The ones around the same age as mine seem to have less issues. My only issue was the dreaded 12 volt battery replacement. Mine waited to go out until after the warranty so I got to pay for it. I like your endangered compass yellow R1S they are really sharp looking. Mine is a soon to be endangered Red Canyon.

Off road tires seem to be limited to the 20's. Defenders can be used off-road on dry fire roads or groomed trails, but for rocks or mud/water 20's are the way to go.

I've had multiple sets of Defenders on 5 different vehicles and they hit pretty close to the milage warranty 65-70K each time. Just replace dmy OEM with defenders and put another set on my wife's GX460 after just shy of 70K. Discount tire game me $21 off each new tire for the proration which I thought was pretty cool.
