So I did rotate mine at 6200 and discount tire had said before the rotation the fronts were at 7 & 6/32 and both rears at 9. I think they didn’t measure correctly. I’m just over 10k now and measured myself and the fronts are both 9/32 and both rears 8/32. I’m pretty happy with that so far.Does anyone have tire tread depth measurements for these after 10-15k?
Do you know what you started with? How does this math out?So I did rotate mine at 6200 and discount tire had said before the rotation the fronts were at 7 & 6/32 and both rears at 9. Good years website states it starts at 12/32.Do you know what you started with? How does this math out?
I am at 8/32 after 13,100 miles. They were rotated at 7,500.Does anyone have tire tread depth measurements for these after 10-15k?
Hi all, I've been asking Goodyear to update the website, but no luck so far. The new tire tread depth for the Rivian tire is approximately 10.8/32nds.
I like your idea of upgrading the tires sooner rather than later to better enjoy your R1T now!I think I have read all the posts on this mega thread!
Considering changing to the Goodyears now vs. waiting a bit (11K miles on new to me '23 R1T - I'm 3 weeks in). The Pirelli Scorpions have 7/32 and 8/32 tread left (rear vs. front). To me the tires are pretty loud and the handling seems heavy as compared to my Lightning and previous Raptors.
I think I could likely get another 6K or 7K miles out of them, but am debating why wait. I'll likely have this R1T for maybe 12 to 18 months and possibly 15K miles. I'll need to replace them at some point during my ownership.
Based on all my reading - The Goodyears seem to deliver on less noise, better efficiency, and I think a "lighter" steering feel. Road trip coming up next week and my friendly tire shop can get them ordered and installed this week.
Crazy idea?
Exactly! New shoes this Friday! I was looking at the tire config in the R1T - can you clarify which tires I select once I get these on? Thank you!I like your idea of upgrading the tires sooner rather than later to better enjoy your R1T now!
